    I wish I asked the ladies name that checked us in today. Unfortunately it is not the normal experience to get great customer service these days. The person who checked us in was friendly, helpful, and just overall delightful to deal with. If corporate recognizes great guest experiences from staff we checked in at about 4 pm on January 5. Give her employee of the year or whatever you can. Thank you.

    While waiting at the Detroit airport, we had a hard long time getting to talk with Farrnch at the front desk as to time and place pick up from the Detroit airport. We arrived at our HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS. Romulus. Farrnch ,, was all by herself. Doing the job of 3 people. The hotel was so very busy , !!! After waiting for 4 people ahead of us,, her attitude was great. She has been totally wonderful and professional . Such an asset. For your Holiday Inn Express. This hotel has been one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever stayed at, in terms of cleanliness. We stayed here last night after an eleven hour direct flight from Istanbul. I was on the phone at 10;00 p.m. looking for another clean hotel. Our car pick up was for the next day. So , we were stuck here. I have pictures,,, rooom was dirty smelling,, we really did sleep with the windows open . A filthy hotel . Unbelievably !!! Everywhere !! Carpets, outside of microwave. T.V.. Nothing worked in the breakfast department. This place looks like a tornado has gone through it. We travel monthly, so we know. We feel very sorry for the obvious staff who cared and tried to make the best work. I always read all the reviews,,, how this has been given a 4,, is beyond me. It should be a """ 1or 2"" . FARRCH and MS. PAT, did the best they could do. Working very very hard.

    This hotel is tired and outdated. Carpet in room and hallways needed vacuuming. As a Diamond Elite I was surprised this property meets IHG standards. Would not recommend. So many better choices nearby.

    Christie was amazing ! She made sure to accommodate us swiftly and inform us on every piece of our hotel’s amenities. She made sure to make us feel secure and safe with the payment process as well as our room security . Hotel was clean and provided a rejuvenating nights rest. If there was a chance to allocate 10 stars , we would!

    This Hotel is having a roof out on but they need major updates on the inside. I had maybe 4 channels on TV, NONE of which I watch. I notified front Desk and she basically said they are aware of the issue but deal with it. As a Diamond Elite member, I was not greeted with appreciation on that status l, not offered points or snack. She didn't offer an upgrade or discount for the Television issue. I won't stay here again.
