  Booked a room upon arrival i was told they have no rooms. Apparently they take reservations even though they don't have rooms! Very rude poor service basically I was told nothing she could do didn't even say sorry or make any effort.

  We had a very bad experience at another hotel (Wingate by Wyndham) with an extremely angry manager, so we left. We came to Holiday Inn Express Romulus and had the extreme pleasure of being assisted by Christie. She not only helped us book a room, she made the experience very pleasant. She is definitely an asset to the hotel and I highly recommend her!

  The Holiday Inn express was great! Super convenient with the quick park airport parking lot, practically being attached to the hotel. Easily the fastest shuttle buses I’ve ever seen at an airport. Our room was super clean and the girl that checked us in at the counter was really friendly. Everything worked as it should. I will be staying here again when I travel out of the Detroit airport. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone !

  I thought we stayed the night at this Holiday Inn express and parked our car there. But it was not this one. It was the one in Belleville. We accidentally ended up there on the Romulus shuttle. I would like to point out one employee who went above and beyond to help us get back on track. Not only to get to the right shuttle to the Holiday Inn Express where the car was parked, but we also left one of the bags on the original shuttle and she helped us retrieve it. Her customer service was outstanding and she was very helpful. My husband and I want to make a special mention of her excellent customer service.Her name is Christie and she works at the Holiday Inn Express in Romulus. Thank you Christie!

  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Romulus and had a mixed experience. The service was truly excellent — staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast was also a highlight: hot, well-stocked, and with plenty of options each morning. I also appreciated the fitness center, which had the equipment I needed for a solid workout, and the location was convenient for my travel plans. Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the strong cigarette smoke smell in my room. It was noticeable immediately upon entering and lingered throughout my entire stay, which was very disappointing — especially in what is advertised as a non-smoking property. Additionally, the beds were not as comfortable as I’ve experienced at other Holiday Inn Express locations. Overall, the staff and amenities were great, but the smoke odor and bed comfort significantly impacted the stay.
