  Was pretty shocked to get dropped a 20 dollar bill for the continental breakfast. In 2 monthly travel over the past 2 years I've never seen a charge for continental breakfast. A sign notifying people of this would have been nice.

  Clean room. Housekeeping is top-notch. Relatively quiet, close to many restaurants and the staff is friendly.

  My wife, daughter, and granddaughter stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton in Novi, MI. Upon entering the room, they noticed the suite was unusually warm. They tried adjusting the thermostat, but it was broken. The room thermostat read that it was 82 degrees in the room. They adjusted the thermostat down to 67 degrees, but the heater would continuously run. My wife reached out to the front desk and the Hilton staff said there was nothing they could do about it. The Hilton staff even refused to move my family to another room. My family suffered through the night and got very little sleep because the ENTIRE SUITE was like being in a sauna! I do have a picture of the thermostat that was also sent to Andrew Sandiha on 1/26/2026. The next morning (1/25/2026), my wife complained to the staff and was told that the suite had been marked to not be used/rented to any guest because of the heating issue. She was never told this. The morning staff said the GM would reach out to me on Monday to discuss compensation. On Monday morning (1/26/2026), Andrew Sandiha (GM for Double Tree by Hilton Novi) called me and we discussed the issue and situation. He did apologize and said my family should not have been given that room for the night. I have not heard back from Andrew or anyone from Double Tree by Hilton Novi since. I feel offended and disrespected by Andrew. As a Hilton Honors member, I think some sort of compensation should be given, not only for the uninhabitable suite, but also for being ghosted by one of your General Managers.

  As a Diamond member, I am used to being acknowledged for my Hilton brand loyalty, but my experience at this hotel was outstanding! Every interaction I had with hotel employees, from Rick who greeted me at the front desk when I arrived, to Jaime who took care of me at breakfast, exemplified an attitude of customer-centric care.

  1st, tried saying our room wasn’t paid for and tried saying it cost wayyy more than what we paid for before we showed our email stating otherwise 2nd, watched a front desk person kick a family out of the common area for eating McDonald’s instead of paying for there expensive just like every other hotel’s breakfast. Which was freezingggg cold. 3rd, hotel is getting remodel so it is understandable things might be a little messy but it didn’t look like our shower walls were cleaned above the shower head.
