I had a fantastic time in this hotel. Rooms are large, good bed and all you can expect with quality. Cherries on the cake: video games, swimming pool and pool! Plus the BigE restaurant which worth it. I can only recommend the Holiday Inn at Midland, excellent service, quality and staff is polite and respectful.

The location is great. Everything is nearby. The staff are incredibly friendly. The hotel and room are beautiful. The only thing keeping me from rating the place a 5 is the shower water pressure. Oof...it's bad. Hardly any pressure at all. It took awhile to shower due to the pressure.

We book rooms every year for our girls weekend, we look forward to spending time together, swimming, hot tub, shopping etc....this weekend was the worst, there was a kids bday party here, awesome for that child, what was NOT so great was the kids running up and down the halls knocking on doors amd running away, we went down to use the hot tub with our 14 year old grand daughter but there are no tables or chairs, the party was taking up any extra tables with party favors and food, called from the desk to see if we would be able to take grand daughter after the kids and party leave, front desk girl was rude and point blank said NO, kids are out at 10, I understand policies but we paid just for the use of the pool and was not able to enjoy it and not even a sorry, very poor customer service..... People were here that were not hotel guests..so we suffer for non paying families.

Id give ZERO stars if I could. I booked the same exact room as I did when me and my wife stayed here on our wedding night to surprise her for Valentines day. The room was over $50 extra per night for the king bed with the jacuzzi in the room. I have rose pedals bubble bath candles the works. When we arrived at 3pm for check in we were put in a different room. When I asked the young guy working the front desk why I wasn't getting the king jacuzzi room I paid extra for he laughed at me and told me that they dont have those rooms anymore. I asked to rebook in a different room at a cheaper rate then since there was no need to spend an extra $50 a night for nothing and he smiled and said ,"nope unfortunately we cant refund you or update your booking because when you booked online it goes through a third party." I explained to him that I booked online through their website and then called and talked to the woman at the front desk the night I booked to make sure I had the right room. He again chuckled and told me there was nothing he could do. The rooms are not the same as the photos and do not have the amenities they advertise. This place is a scam, do not stay here. Thats false advertisement at its finest and we will not be back.

First off it wasn't a complete waste of money, but the value for the cost was way off. We paid $160 for one night for a double queen room. To start we got to the hotel around 3:00pm for check in. There was one person being helped by a receptionist and the other one had just completed the previous customer and asked for whoever was next (us).. or so I thought. There was like 4 lady's sitting in the lobby chairs so I didn't think anything of it and went up next as I was in line behind the gentleman getting his room. The lady's sitting down rushed up after I went to the next receptionist and said they were next and were rude to my friend. So I let them go ahead since they seemed to be in a rush. We were served by the other receptionist who 1. Didn't tell us where our room was or how to get there since the elevator in the middle of the hotel was closed . We were wandering around trying to find the "north" elevator with no idea where. 2. Didn't tell us where breakfast was or what time it was at. She made sure to tell us to wear the wristbands to the pool though. We immediately went up to our room to check it out before bringing our things up. We got to the room and it was set to 75 which I assume is normal, but we like it colder so we went to turn it down and the air and heat wouldn't turn up or down it was stuck at 75. So we head back down and go to the front desk to see if they could send someone up to fix it. She said she would call and do that. Never gave us a time or estimate to how long it would be. So we wait in the lobby on those same chairs for about 35 minutes. While we were waiting I asked the other receptionist about breakfast and how we go about that. She asked for a room number so she could verify and then informed us that we needed vouchers and "didn't the receptionist that checked us in give us a voucher." I told her no,this was everything that was in our little booklet and there's no voucher, just a $5 off coupon. So she wrote us a voucher for breakfast and told us that it was in the restaurant downstairs. I also asked her if she knew how much longer it was going to be for the maintenance guy because we could do some running around while we waited and she had to go get the other receptionist who radioed the maintenance guy and it was going to be an additional 15 minutes. So all together we didn't get into our room until an hour after we checked in which was a little irritating. Our room AC worked after that. It was great. Everything was clean. The only thing I questioned was the toilet paper holder being on the bottom of the sink. So every time you grabbed a piece the rest of it would touch the floor. So I ended up taking the toilet paper off of that during our stay. The next morning we went to breakfast in the restaurant. Breakfast was great. We didn't know how much the voucher was for. Nobody had told us when we got to the restaurant. They either had a buffet or you could order off the menu. I asked the waitress how much it covered or you know if we could add sides to a meal and she said yes everything was included. Checkout was super easy. I just got a text message and left my keys in the room. Overall, I don't think we'll stay here again just from the attitude of the staff and lack of direction. There was also kids running up and down the hall. People slamming doors at like 11:00 at night so nothing was monitored.
