  The view of Lake Michigan is unbeatable. The room was the CLEANEST hotel room that I have ever stayed in, absolutely SPOTLESS! The barn door style bathroom door is awesome. Cool artwork in the room, not just basic pictures like in most hotels. I wish they put the no smoking sign on the wall instead of on the door wall window...just kind of sucks to block the view with a stupid sticker. No microwave in the room is a bummer. Not a lot of table space next to the beds. Room lighting is a bit on the dim side. The shower pressure was too low although at least the water did stay warm for the whole time. The breakfast buffet was excellent food (for a hotel breakfast) in a beautifully decorated area. The patio was closed for winter which is a bummer because I would have enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and looking at the lake even though it's cold out. The pool area is great and outdoor jacuzzi is AMAZING! The lobby area is decorated well with nautical theme and a cool nod to the original hotel with the room keys framed and hung on a column. The triangle trash cans are cool, lol. The entire hotel was newer and The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming..shout outs to Brad and Greg. I did not visit the restaurant but it looks like a lovely room to enjoy a meal with a great view of the lake. The location in general is fantastic with several parks around and easy access to public beaches. I can't wait to stay again!

  Planned our entire new years at the hotel. Swim, hot tub, dinner and a room overlooking the lake. At check in a Brad waited on me, very rude person. Should not be working in customer service. The pool and hot tub were down, no call to let us know. The restaurant was only open till 9pm on new years. They put us in a room overlooking the parking lot. Told us they were full so they couldn't move us,they were not full. Wouldn't give me a refund with some bull about reservation being made through a 3rd party. So what, most of that money goes to the hotel. We paid just short of $300 for our room. Felt they should have contacted us about the amenities that were not available or given us the opportunity to get a refund. Won't go back. Horrible management in the hotel and the bar.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely focused on making our stay comfortable and seamless. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained, with modern, spacious rooms that are both comfortable and quiet. The beds were excellent, the amenities were thoughtfully provided, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. The complimentary breakfast was well organized, fully stocked, and offered a great variety—perfect for starting the day. One of the highlights of this location is the beautiful Lake Michigan, which is literally just steps away from the hotel. Being able to walk outside and enjoy the shoreline, views, and fresh lake air was a huge bonus and made the stay even more memorable. The location is ideal—close to downtown Manistee, the riverwalk, local shops, and beaches, while still feeling relaxed and peaceful. Whether visiting for business or leisure, this hotel delivers on every level. We would definitely visit here again and highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Manistee for anyone traveling to the area.

  Almost a perfect hotel. The room was both nice and clean. Breakfast featured good bacon, good sausage, and good omelettes. There's a pier that is only a modest walk from the hotel. If you walk to the end at night, then turn and look back at the shore, you'll behold an array of colors reflecting off the water. Really the only nitpick we had is the use of a sliding "barn door" for the bathroom; there's a gap that leaves the occupant without total privacy. A normal door is much better.

  Perfect location & absolutely amazing views! We arrived just a few mins before sunset, walking into our room with a view of a Lake Michigan sunset was perfection! Didn’t think morning would be as good facing west, but the sky was full of color & gorgeous. Coffee with a view!
