  I really enjoyed the two nights I stayed very spacious and clean room and pet friendly(which was our biggest concern) bought my two cats and my baby with me it was perfect the cats loved it, it had all the amenities like microwave, dishwasher with dishes inside and plate. Clean hotel and pool and free laundry was great definitely will be staying here when we come home for Christmas

  I stayed here for work the early morning of 1/26/26 when there was a fire. Someone on the second floor caused a fire in their room at 4AM and the entire building had to be evacuated. Us guests had to wait outside and were not able to go back in and retrieve our items until around 7AM. The night manger on duty should be commended for his excellent response and support to MTFD. He did the best he could in an awful situation. Even though the fire issue was not the hotel's fault, it was an awful experience as a guest and we were in no way compensated for that night and it was a rough day due to that disruption, waiting in the cold for hours, and then having a full day of work after all of that. My expectation of a hospitality company would be to acknowledge the inconvenience to the guest and comp the night. Additionally, when checking out at the end of the week, I asked the woman at the desk for a printed receipt and she said they don't do that and one would be emailed to me. She then immediately went back to looking at her screen and made it very clear she didn't want to engage with me or entertain any further questions. It's been a full week later and still no receipt. I'll be calling to get the receipt for work expenses but shouldn't have to. Especially since she said it would be emailed and didn't care enough to get around to it. Generally, no breakfast is offered at this location, just a 10% discount to the hot dog shop in front of it. Not really looking to have fast food for breakfast. There's a Meijer nearby where I got some sandwiches in the evening for the next morning. Gym was small with no active circulation, just the one mirror in front of the treadmill. The only reason for 2 stars is due to the night manager's response the night of the fire, otherwise would be a 1 star. Wouldn't stay here again.

  We are driving to Niagara Falls from Kansas City and stopped here for the night. I was impressed as soon as we arrived. The lobby was open and clean and the attendant was friendly. I saw a coffee area in the lobby area, which is VERY important for me. I hate when I'm out of town and there's no coffee near my hotel. Instead of 1 cup available in my room occasionally, here i could have all the coffee i wanted. We went to the 3rd floor and again I was impressed when we went inside our room. There was a stove, a small refrigerator, a microwave and it was very large. We just left Chicago and this place was leaps and bounds better than our last hotel. I'd definitely recommend this place.
