  They said decaf was back ordered and it was magically there the next day. So I found out the hard way they lied and just put regular in there. No coffee in the room. They go in my room despite the do not disturb sign hanging outside. Not a good team working here. **update… that latest thing, they add almost $40 per night for incidentals. So I had a $135 charge that didn’t drop off right away like every other hotel that only charges around $25 for the whole week. Now my company is calling me wondering what’s going on. Never had this happen and the amount is ridiculous especially since I’ve been a rewards member for years and never damaged anything. $135 is a joke

  Holiday Inn Express Westgate in Kalamazoo MI. Worst hotel I ever stayed at. For the condition of the room I should’ve stayed at a motel 6. There is a long list of reasons I will never stay there again. 1 they checked someone else into the room I was in after I had been there for a few hours. Another guest came into my room with a key. Couldn’t call the front desk because the phone in the room didn’t work. 2 there was hair left all over the bathroom sink, shower and floor, also left the cleaner in the shower, towel hook hanging from wall. Not even a complete set of towels for two were in the bathroom.Asked for more towels was denied that, bathroom trash wasn’t empty. 3 went to let the window shade down at night all stained up. Remote was very sticky and nasty probably hadn’t been wiped down in months, stains all over the walls. Table/desk was oily like someone had at bacon off the table/desk never cleaned. Went on to bed. 4 Got up this morning there were dirty qtips under the bed very noticeable I don’t see how they were missed. The bed skirt had dried up cum on it and something that looks to me like blood stains also on the mattress. The rate of the room was $180 at check out I explained everything I felt about the room wondering if I could possibly get some kind of discount was told that only the manager could do that. He/she wasn’t in. 5 They extended my check out to wait for him/her. I kept checking back he/she still hadn’t arrived. While waiting to speak with them my children went to work out. Wast told they needed to leave the work out room because they were playing on the phone. The attendant never asked to speak with an adult even after my children said they weren’t playing on the phone. I went down to speak with her she never came out the office. Come to find out some was wrong with the phones where it was ringing at the front desk for no reason. Now it’s 1:30 pm I asked again was the manager in now I’m being told he/she isn’t coming in. I asked if they could give him /her a call to see what they can do about my stay was told she would give me a call. I checked out at full price. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Guess I’ll check into an Airbnb from now on.

  This was a bad experience I was visiting Kalamazoo for a self vacation and I had another family trying to walk in my room and the stuff tried to tell me I had to leave and I had got the room online in advance, In the room it was dirty and there was wet underwear in the shower and hair in the sink I was disgusted with that I and went to the front desk to ask if they could get someone to clean it other said they would and nobody had showed up throughout the night the room next door was loud and when I knocked to ask if they could be a little more quiet and then they just threw some open chip bags at me I ended up checking out early and I went somewhere else I don’t know if it was just the one I went to but I don’t suggest going here

  It was very bad me and my family were in the work out room and this lady came in there and told us we had to get out and stop playing with the phone and we said that we didn’t touch the phone and she walked out and rolled her eyes at us and when we went to the pool it did not work and it took hours but when a white family went and said something they went right and fixed the rooms are dirty and there was hair everywhere and they left a whole spray cleaner and I think that they were all rude but Mrs Flo was very kind to us

  I see a lot of 1 and 2 stars reviews on here, maybe we should have read them before we booked. We booked a room for three people through booking.com. After a 5 hour car ride, arrived around 11:00 PM to find out that they would not honor the reservation because the hotel was now sold out and it was booked through a 3rd party. This despite the fact that the hotel actually called us the night before to confirm the reservation. To repeat THEY CALLED US TO CONFIRM THE RESERVATION. The front desk was clueless, only uttering "we can't guarantee a 3rd party reservation". No rebooking for our party, no accountability. My wife asked to speak to the manager, JULIE, who showed zero compassion or concern. At some point JULIE said she would call the police if we didn't leave the hotel. So much for the IHG Hospitably Promise. We eventually got a room at another hotel and got settled at 2:30 AM. Just a miserable experience. FYI, we reached out to IHG, who are escalating the complaint.
