The hotel itself was fine but parking was sketchy. The area is also sketchy. There are a lot of homeless people in the downtown area. I was there for 3 days and my car was broken into in the parking garage and they attempted to steal it. I received a form letter from Hilton apologizing but nothing about helping me out or what would be done about it. My car window was broken out. Hilton called me yesterday about when I would be staying at one of their hotels again. I said never because they didn't seem to care about my car being broken into and weren't interested in doing anything about it.

The response by Hilton after my first negative review was to call the property and speak with the manager. That was part of the reason I left the review I did. I called and was told I would hear from someone within 24 hours, that was 5 days ago. I'm still waiting.

I booked a room for visit to Wester Michigan University. The day of the game on September 6th my son was sick and I called the hotel to inform them he's pretty sick, probably not the best to bring him in but if I have to pay for the room I will bring him in. The clerk answering the phone said, no problem you will only be charged a $40 dollar cancellation fee. Next day I was charged full price, called the main number and spoke with Pip, I informed her of the details and she said sorry the clerk mis-informed you and I will transfer you to Kim Olsen the manager of the facility. I left several messages, no response back and I never received any credit back for Hilton's miscommunication. This displays to me the manager isn't concerned about Customer service and/or performing her due diligence to follow up on her staff's direction to me that I would only be charged $40. Extremely disappointing people like Kim don't care about making right what I was told. I will never be staying at this facility and I highly encourage anyone staying go else where...

This place is a very nice to stay right downtown. It is connected to Hilton Garden and it would be easier to park in the garage. You can walk over on the second floor. But make sure you go to the lobby of Hilton Garden to walk to the HOME2 SUITES elevator.
Rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only complaint is that the trash trucks down below are very loud and woke me up around 330am. But other than that if im ever back up in Kzoo ill stay here again.

Nice location in the center of town, that is why we picked it. Rooms are large, which we appreciated for my wife & I and our 2 grandkids. The big negative was the breakfast experience, specifically the extremely rude service provided by the blond breakfast attendant with arm tatoos - she does not belong in the hospitality industry. She was so rude when asked simple questions and slammed things on the counter like a little child. My 7 year old grandson had a better temperament then she did.
Totally ruined what was by all other measures should have been a nice stay. Cut your losses and find a different breakfast attendant who actually wants to serve guests.
