  Checked in tonight and it was super busy. This hotel and the one across the street from it were booked. But Noula, the girl that was working the desk, was still super positive, personable, and working through the line of check-ins quick. Really appreciated her humor on this stressful day! Frank at the bar was also great. Very nice and good service. Thank you!

  Took me 10 minutes to find someone to book me for the night at the front desk. Another waiting patron found him at the bar finally. Wasn't offered a bill, they didn't even ask what vehicle was mine. There were people smoking pot on the back patio when we brought our things in. Bathroom wasn't clean. Hair on the shower, stains on the edge of the tub. The sink had pencil lines on it from when they lined up the new faucet. The room itself was clean enough but the beds were made like someone just threw them together - not professional. The furniture did not match and it smelled funny. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast had 4 hot options for $13 per plate, my daughter opted for the reheated frozen waffles - complete rip off. I expected more from Holiday Inn. Disappointing stay. Update: I emailed the manager at the email given in the reply to accept their offer of points, as I am an IHG Rewards member and did not receive points or a reply. It's been nearly 3 weeks.

  I chose Holiday Inn because of the dependability associated with the brand name. I was not disappointed. At first I thought it might be a little sketchy, but it turned out to be very nice. The hotel looked like it was newly renovated. The staff was friendly and efficient in getting me checked it. My room was very well appointed and was updated nicely. The bed was comfy. There is a restaurant in the lobby for breakfast. I only got coffee to go, which was good. Beside the hotel being tucked away off the road, I thought it was a good pick for a place to stay when in or near Kalamazoo.

  I don't know if this Holiday Inn had a change in ownership but my last stay here was not great. I was given the opportunity to change rooms because my window shade wouldn't go all the way down in my first room. I was also given a free breakfast voucher which was wonderful. They moved me to a smaller room and that was fine since it was only me. The next morning I wanted to reheat food for breakfast and the microwave in my new room didn't work so I went down to the front desk and they couldn't help me either. Also, the fridge in my new room was turned all the way up but didn't keep my water cold AT ALL. I've stayed here a few times and have NEVER experienced a worse stay than this one.

  The staff at check-in was top notch. She was pleasant and had a very friendly smile. Made my night.
