After thoroughly reading numerous reviews about The Establishment, I have become convinced that neither they nor your company are likely to take any meaningful or effective action to address the ongoing issues related to the evident lack of proper maintenance or the absence of a dedicated, professional maintenance staff. During our recent stay, (our first stay with choice hotels) several problems were not disclosed to us beforehand, including the fact that an industrial washing machine was broken and non-functional, and sitting in the usual countertop area, which is designated for serving the Continental breakfast, and the lack of vending machines that was listed in the room that was not properly communicated. This lack of transparency and oversight was a poor reflection on the overall quality and reputation of the Quality Inn brand. Frustrated and disappointed, my husband and I decided to return our room key and directly inform the manager that we intended to leave the premises immediately. the manager did not officially check us out or process our departure correctly, it was likely because he was attempting to conceal from your company the fact that guests are not staying for the full duration of their bookings, which could be an attempt to cover up operational issues or staffing problems. Such practices damage the reputation of Choice Hotels overall. I regret not reading the reviews more carefully beforehand, as many of them echoed my own serious concerns—such as the disturbing incident where a napkin was stuffed into the peephole of our door, and multiple concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of the beds. Discovering blood stains on the sheets that had clearly not been changed or properly cleaned was particularly unsettling and raised serious questions about their sanitation practices.
Furthermore, the stained and soiled towels in the bathroom, along with other recurring issues mentioned in recent reviews from early 2024, strongly indicate that very little has been done to improve the quality or cleanliness standards over time. Forwarding my complaint to management, in my view, will not resolve these ongoing problems; it is unlikely to lead to any meaningful change. Instead, I believe it will confirm that your establishment has little willingness or intent to address these serious concerns. As a result, I will not be considering staying at any Choice Hotels in the future, as this experience exemplifies a troubling pattern of neglect and disregard for guest safety and comfort. While you are welcome to share my feedback, I remain doubtful that it will make any actual difference. As I got the same generic response of how they will look into this and forward it to the property manager and informed me that I was still checked into this hotel and this came from Shane in your customer support team furthermore I feel more action needs to be taken so I also contacted the local health department to formally report my findings, including sharing the photographs I took as evidence of the unsanitary conditions. I hope this message serves as a clear warning to potential guests and emphasizes the urgent need for proper management and standard maintenance practices at your property. Have a nice day.
