    The five stars is in comparison to other Holiday inns. I travel for work and usually I'm booked at Holiday inns. This is by far one of the best ones I've stayed at. The staff here is especially good.

    Booked a room for my parents Christmas night. I shouldve know we would have problems when we went to the room after checking in and found the tub stopper was down and it was dripping for so long the entire tub was full of water. I told the front desk and asked them to fix it after check out. When they got back to their room that night, after our Holiday party, it was 64° even though the temp was set at 75°. They went to the front desk to report it. The guy working said they had 3 other rooms, same problem but didnt have maintenance on site to fix it. They asked to be switched and was told there were no rooms available. They tried to make it work but by 1am they were too cold to stay, frustrated that no one would help them, so they told the front desk guy they were leaving and drove 4hours back to Chicago!!! In the middle of the night!!! Ive been trying to reach the GM Lori since 12/26 and every time I call I get shes "not feeling well", "not in yet", "was supposed to be in but isnt" "shes at a funeral".... the list goes on. Ive left a bunch of unreturned messages to get a refund for this stay that was cut short due to her lack of management. Ive filed a complaint with IHG and when I called them back to get an update since again Lori never called, they're showing that Lori claims to have called me and we talked. Absolutely not! She says the heat worked fine. She wasnt even there...how could she even know. And what's funny is I went there Saturday to see if I can find Lori, of course she wasnt there. But there was another person who was there to find Lori about her refund. Clearly this location lacks Management. If I have to take this to the health department for not providing heat on a day when temps were below freezing, I have their contact ready to go. My parents are seniors so it falls under elder abuse. I suggest you contact me, Lori.

    Beware. My review is not the only bad one. ***it has been 2 months now and Lori, the manager, refuses to meet me in person. Her receptionist blamed me and was rude for just wanting my money back. They charged my account for around $200 for a stay I never had. Lori, who was standing in the back, would not speak with me for just one minute so I could get my refund. I am currently in contact with their corporate office and I’ve had to report them for fraud. Do not stay here. If anything goes wrong, the person who is supposed to be in charge will not help you. Booked a jacuzzi suite. Asked the lady if the jacuzzi is in working order. She assured me that it was. Drove in a snow storm to check in. I was given keys to a room. Went all the way up to the room and realized it had no jacuzzi. Went back down to desk attendant and he said they book through a 3rd party and the 3rd party doesn’t always know what they have available…. ?? Really? He said they only have one jacuzzi room and it is out of order. (He didn’t feel the need to tell us that before sending us to the wrong room?) He offered no discount, no compensation for the huge inconvenience, and did not refund the money. Ruined our plans completely. Won’t come here again. ******Almost a month later and I still have not gotten my money back. The manager is never available.*******

    Beware! Our original reservation at this Holiday Inn was confirmed at $112 per night x 3 nights plus taxes (total cost of $359.64).  At checkout the person at the front desk could not provide a receipt at checkout, but days later our bank statement showed that the hotel withdrew $941.45 for this 3-night stay (overcharge of $581).  After multiple phone calls, I was told by Holiday Inn billing that the final rate charged was $280.31 per night and that there "seemed to be a problem with the rate charged".  Unfortunately, when contacting the General Manager of the hotel, I was informed by Email rather than returning my call that "the rate charged was correct for the dates, room type, and services associated with your stay".  But the most expensive room shown on the hotel website is $181 per night.  No accountability from Holiday Inn and watch out for overcharging at this hotel!
