  This hotel has the most terrible room design / layout I've ever seen. The beds are facing head to head, taking up the entire room. No flow to the layout whatsoever. There is no sofa or seating other than a small desk chair. No power outlets or nightstand anywhere near the beds, so you have to string cords across the floor to charge a phone. The entire room appears to have been designed by someone's 11 year old kid. It makes no sense. They are also doing a major renovation (hopefully to fix the terrible rooms). But this wasn't mentioned upon booking. The Tulyp markets itself as a fancy hotel, but the only benefit is the location. Otherwise, stay literally anywhere else if you want a decent hotel experience.

  -Extremely Disappointing Experience with Tulyp Hotel- I made a reservation at Tulyp Hotel a month in advance, and they immediately charged my card in full—even though the booking was supposed to be held with a card, not prepaid. My stay isn’t for another month, yet they processed the full rate without authorization or notice. To make matters worse, the hotel is apparently under major, noisy construction, something they never disclosed at the time of booking. No warning, no courtesy notice, nothing. Just a full charge for a stay I haven’t even taken yet, at a property that isn’t fully operational. When I called to get clarification, I was met with a condescending, unprofessional front desk employee who tried to blame me for “not showing up” to a reservation that is still weeks away. The lack of customer service, accountability, and basic professionalism was shocking. This entire experience has been unacceptable. Between the unauthorized charge, the undisclosed construction, and the dismissive attitude from staff, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid Tulyp Hotel—there are far better options that respect their guests.

  Love location and service here! But the room is the most inconvenient I’ve ever encountered: it has a weird flooring in the room and tiles in the bathroom (makes sense), but it is very cold outside and very cold flooring inside. I would recommend to bring fuzzy socks or slippers with you. The faucet in the bathroom is too short for the sink, nightmare to wash face over it.

  I’m surprised that this hotel has not been a smash hit. Excellent location, great staff great rooms. The bar is the best in town imo. One knock might be it is not a high end steak restaurant- but the menu is solid.
