We attended a wedding on Sunday and we needed extra time to get our proper attire on for the wedding.
They let us check in an hour early.
If they are very friendly and the service is great!
The place is clean
They had a free breakfast there that was as good as Denny's or any chain restaurant.
They had a weight room/ exercise room
And The pool area was top notch.
So if you're going to stay anywhere in the area near Grand rapids, that's where you want to go.
We'll go back if we are in the area.

We stayed here April 17–18 for the Barry Roubaix race in Hastings and chose this hotel because I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express properties before and have always trusted them to be clean and reliable. Unfortunately, this stay was a big disappointment.
The biggest issue was the bathroom design. The sliding bathroom door didn’t actually close fully and left a noticeable gap, essentially zero privacy. You could be seen and heard from the room, which is honestly unacceptable for a hotel.
The shower was another mess. The shower head wouldn’t stay in place, making it difficult to shower properly, and the shower itself was incredibly cramped, barely room to move without bumping into the curtain or wall.
Even more concerning, during checkout there was what appeared to be a large blood-like spill on the floor in a common area, which was shocking to see.
What makes this especially frustrating is the hotel has signs everywhere saying if you’re not 100% satisfied, let them know. Well.. We weren’t. So here I am giving you that opportunity. Please fix these issues, because this was far below what I expect from this brand.

About the worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. I called asking about cancelling my reservation and what the fee would be. The front desk woman was snarky right off the bat. I asked what the charge would be and she said “I don’t know”. Well, that would be good to know! She told me she could talk to her manager, put me on hold, and then hung up on me. In the meantime, I received an email that my room had been cancelled at the full nightly charge, and I never approved that. I called back and told her I never approved the cancellation, and she said too bad at this point it’s cancelled and you can call back and complain to my manager if you’d like. Absolutely horrible customer service, extremely rude. Customer service 101 was not passed by this lady.
The workers are not nice they gave away my room and then they said they would give me a new room but then said it was flooded with water
This was a great find. A very competent and polite man named Gabe was my front desk person that checked me in. I paid for a room close to the airport because of extreme morning showers (4am- 6 am) that would have made it impossible for me to drive from home to the airport very early (4am - 6 am) from 90 miles away on the morning of the flight.
So I read reviews and asked questions. The place was spotless, my room was comfortable and the price included an airport shuttle to and from. The most important thing was that the booking includes allowing parking your vehicle at the hotel lot, have your trip, and then get shuttled back to the hotel all in one price. The parking rate is just over 1/2 of the economy long-term parking at the airport. In this instance, the shuttle takes you to the airport terminal door and when you return from your trip, it comes back out to the airport and shuttles you to the Grand Rapids Holiday Inn Express where your car is still safely parked.
