We loved our stay at Home 2 Suites Grand Rapids Northeast. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our favorite experiences were hanging out in the cute lobby with family that were also in Grand Rapids for the holiday. Also we loved breakfast. It was delicious with many options. Our breakfast attendant Gina was exceptionally kind and helpful. Our whole family loved her. The front desk was always friendly and offered support in any way we needed. I love the hotel and the rooms and I manage a warehouse close so I always stay when the weather is bad. I also work front desk part time at another Hilton property so I understand the pep system they use. Everything was great until I made another reservation for the same day I was checking out for 2 more days because I couldn’t extend the reservation. I asked to just stay in the same room since that obviously makes the most sense. You wouldn’t believe the GM Conner underwood made me get out the room at noon just to check back in the same room at 3pm! That makes 0 sense! I told Conner that making the housekeepers clean the room I’m going right back into doesn’t make any sense. I’ve done this so many times before and never had to get all my stuff out the room at 12pm and wait in the lobby until 3pm just to check back into the same room that i didn’t even need cleaned. I honestly don’t think this kid has ever been a GM and has 0 experience in hospitality. It’s hard to explain how idiotic that situation was.
Response to owner: Connor told me I could pay for the reservation with a credit card authorization from my mom which she sent over so I thought everything was took care of. I only had cash on me and Conner said you guys don’t accept cash. Conner decided not to accept the credit card authorization because it wasn’t a corporate card which was never discussed with us. I still had no problem tho I just told my mom to Apple Pay me the money so I could just pay for the room and go back to sleep since I work 3rd shift. This is when Conner told me that I couldn’t go back in the room until 3pm. Literally the room I just walked out of! That makes absolutely no sense whether I was using a discounted rate or not! Even the lady behind the desk told me Connor was only 21 and he’s inexperienced which was very obvious!

Rooms were amazing! Clean, huge, full kitchen. The pool was really small for the size of the hotel and very echo-y which has been a pattern for every Hilton hotel we've been too. Really hard to talk/hear anybody in the pool area. Breakfast was very minimal, they were out of most things. But better than nothing.

Had a fantastic stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Grand Rapids. The property is very well maintained, clean, and in a great location - easy to get around and close to everything I needed.
Huge shoutout to Sean at the front desk. he was incredibly professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. It’s rare to see that level of service, and it made the stay even better.
Highly recommend this location and will definitely stay here again.

I was very dissatisfied with my stay at this hotel. You can hear TVs from other rooms and people were constantly stomping on the floor above me all night long up until about 3:00 a.m. I was on floor 3. Also both mornings of my stay, the cleaning staff were already cleaning rooms right next to mine at 8:30 in the morning banging around so much I could not get any sleep. Also upon my check in there was dirty silverware in my sink and there was also a used food bowl the microwave. The kleenex only had a few pieces left and the toilet paper was also half roll used. It's kind of gross. I would never stay at this hotel again, the parking lot was very icy as well. The elevator smelled like cigarette smoke and so did the entire 3rd floor I stayed on. Staff needs be on top of things better.
