Stayed for three nights. Our last night was awful. We had been having a wonderful stay. The bed was very clean, the room was clean we had no worries or concerns. On the last night however we discovered a bed bug on the couch. Obviously we were worried as we had been staying there, and had no idea. My partner did a thorough search of the couch, room, and bed again because I was panicking. It seems they were hiding in the crack where the arm meets the back of the couch. This is the only place we found more. Since it was our last night we felt there was nothing we could do except take precautions to ensure we wouldn’t bring any home with us (The bed/room itself was very clean and we had zero bites while there. We avoided the seating area the last night and strictly stuck to the bedroom as we were in a suite). Sleeping was not easy the last night knowing we had been staying there and were exposed to them though. At checkout the next morning I let the two women there know that we had found them and they seemed unconcerned about it, even suggesting it could be fleas because the hotel is pet friendly on the third floor (which we were also unaware of). Fleas, bed bugs, it’s all unacceptable. This was room 319. The picture is of one of the bed bugs stuck on a lint roller sheet. It’s a great hotel if you don’t mind sharing a room with bed bugs. On the plus side Phillip was great during check in, very friendly and helpful but that was the only time we saw someone at the front desk during our stay besides at check out. No one was ever at the desk no matter the time which was odd. The hotel itself is in a great location, and seems very safe. Unfortunately I’m not sure we will be staying again though.

There is a HUGE BUG on the wall when we wake up in the morning, I try not to think about if we brought any of the bug buddies home at this moment. I told the front desk guy when we check out. He just said "okay".
Other than that room is decent size and breakfast is clean and decent too.

Only reason I'm giving 4 stars for location is that traffic sucks getting into the area for the hotel. It's tucked behind a lot of stores, and maybe it's because it's the holiday season, but traffic was terrible.

I stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids North recently and overall it was a good experience. The hotel looks clean and well maintained, and my room was spacious and comfortable. I liked having the kitchenette since it made the stay more convenient and gave me a little extra flexibility with meals. Everything in the room felt tidy and organized, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night of rest.
The location is very convenient. It is close to plenty of stores, restaurants, and main roads, which made it easy to get around the area. Most of the staff members were friendly and helpful when I needed something. There were a few times where service felt a little slow, but nothing major.
The breakfast selection was fine. Not amazing but enough to start the day. Overall, I would say this hotel is a solid option if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place in a good location. There are a few small things that could be improved, but I would consider staying here again.
