    When I stayed at this Hampton Inn during a storm, the ceiling in my room was leaking and ended up soaking one of my shoes overnight. I reported the issue to the front desk at checkout and was told to email the manager about it, which I did — but I never received a response or any compensation for the incident. I was also supposed to receive my room deposit back and still haven’t gotten it. Fun fact: I actually used to work here years ago as a housekeeper, and unfortunately, not much has changed. After experiencing this leak firsthand, it’s clear that this property is long overdue for renovations and better maintenance.

    Rooms are clean and decent size. Service was good. They have breakfast but I didn't partake so can't rate that. Beds are way too firm and not comfortable at all.

    I travel twice a week for work, this is the bottom of the barrell. Rooms aren't cleaned very well, hotel is run down, missing smoke detectors, place isnt even safe, on top of that the staff is rude and unpleasant to deal with. Plenty of better hotels to stay at in Grand Rapids. I'd recommend one of the Marriot's. I Won't be back to another Hampton inn.

    My family cane to town from Detroit to visit with my daughter who’s a student at GVSU. The customer service was impeccable from Curtis upon check-in and also Krystal the next morning! Your front desk staff gives the kind of experience people are looking for. And don’t let me forget the lady who ran the morning breakfast 👍🏾 She also was amazing at keeping everything fresh and ready to go, I wish I had gotten her name, great job, great staff! I will stay here again!

    We loved it,the location was nice,great breakfast bar on Sunday, only thing I suggest is have toothpaste in the rooms,I thought it would be there and none of us brought any, other than that we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!! Shout out to the lady running the breakfast bar,she was so kind and patient and attentive to everyone's needs( I don't remember her name,older lady beautiful spirit)!!
