- VEVictoria EwingJan 1, 20262.0I want to share my personal experience from 12/31/2025. I rented a room for about $300 plus a $50 incidental hold. I was with my husband and two children, seeking a good view of the fireworks. We booked a Queen balcony suite, but the night was disrupted at around 6:30 a.m. when we were abruptly awakened by what sounded like law enforcement kicking down our door. Outside our room, there was a brutal fight involving people, and the situation was completely out of control. The security guard sent to disperse the chaos was threatened and forcibly thrown to the ground. This chaos ruined our stay. Additionally, someone took my son's shoes from the pool area while we were swimming and threw them into the trash. The front desk staff had to dumpster dive to retrieve them, and they were soaked and dirty. As a result, I had to carry my son from the hotel to the car because he had no shoes. This was an undeniably horrible experience. When I spoke to the supervisor upon checkout, they acted as if nothing could be done to address the situation. I am truly disappointed with how this was handled.

Seriously, if you're considering a hotel for your next trip, I highly recommend this place! The staff was absolutely incredible. Cara and Sharon, the managers on duty, went above and beyond to make our stay special. There were a few hiccups during our trip, but these ladies handled everything with such grace and positivity. You could really tell they love what they do! We were also super impressed with the maintenance guy who came to help us out on Friday, December 26. He didn’t have to, but he did, and it made a huge difference. Overall, we had a fantastic time and can’t stop talking about the amazing service we received. If you’re looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay, look no further than Embassy Suites Grand Rapids is where to go!

Was a great stay for a friend’s wedding last year so why not? Didn’t disappoint! Opal at the front desk found me a room and got me all set! I had a few questions about the amenities by the time I got to my room and was able to text my questions, which were answered very promptly. On site guest use laundry, and fitness center access was just perfect (can’t skip leg day 😬). Tidy room, desk to get some work done, warm shower, comfortable bed, just excellent all around! Breakfast in the morning with a huge variety, complimentary with the stay! At checkout, Kayla at the front counter made sure everything went well and got me on my way promptly! Thanks for the great experience!

Our guest room was located directly adjacent to the hotel’s banquet/event space, and the walls might as well not exist. Loud music, announcements, and partying went late into the night—so much so that it felt like we were attending the event instead of trying to sleep. To be clear, this is not an exaggeration: the music was so loud and clear in our room that I could literally Shazam the songs from bed. Traveling with a 3-year-old and an 8-month-old, a quiet room wasn’t a luxury—it was a necessity. Despite that, there was no warning at booking, no effort to soundproof, and no attempt to avoid placing families in rooms that are clearly incompatible with events. If you’re looking to party, this might be great. If you’re a family, light sleeper, or anyone expecting a decent night’s rest, do not stay here during events. We would not return and cannot recommend this hotel. Quick kudos to the staff of the morning breakfast bar…absolutely stellar service and attention to detail! Especially Ms Deb!

The only complaint was that the shower wasnt hot. It was lukewarm at best and I had to quickly get in and out because it wasnt comfortable.
