    Overall disappointed. The property is impressive and in a great location. We booked for our Wedding night! It was extremely confusing in that the Hilton Rewards App states to check in and go straight to your room... that is not at all what happened! We for some odd reason had to go to the front desk and give them our credit card for incidentals,which was also required in the App as well... it would also be helpful if there was signage on the property that explained you need to scan your room key in order to use the elevator....buuuuut interesting enough, not always??? The room was very nice, modern and the bed was comfy. It was hugely disappointing though that there was no hot water...barely warmed at all after letting the tap or shower run for a very long time.... sadly chose to skip a shower rather than freeze....oh and the heat in the room was not working properly either 😕 cranked it up to 78 when we got in because the room was 65 degrees.... it was 17 degrees outside by the way....even with cranking it up it barely raised above 70. Lastly, when we came back to our room after hreakfast, the main lights in the room failed to work for a short period of time... and when packing to leave I bent over to pick up a pillow that fell off the couch.....and there was a pungent smell of urine 🤢 I will say the front desk staff was extremely professional and comped our valet parking for inconvenience and we appreciated that...just wished our Wedding night was more pleasant..... beware of room 306!

    Amazing Stay...our room was outstanding. Atmosphere was great! The staff was absolutely wonderful. Would recommend Canopy by Hilton in Grand Rapids to EVERYONE!

    Location and property was great, staff was welcoming. Experience at the property was actually top notch. Experience after checkout is where it went south. I asked for my folio 3 times at the front desk, all three times they said it would be emailed to me, it wasn’t. I checked the app to see if it was there, but someone during checkout removed my Hilton number and it actually showed as cancelled, no folio there either. So I called a couple days later and they finally emailed it over. I was billed 3 times for valet, totaling $135. When I asked about this, they “looked into it” and refunded 2 of them. What did they look into? To see if I drove 3 cars to the hotel?! The woman at the desk (who was very kind) mentioned that they were having issues with a new system overcharging guests for valet. If you know this, wouldn’t you double check people’s bills? Especially when they ask you for a bill half a dozen times?? Whoever is in charge here needs to make some big changes in the back end, property itself is solid.

    Loved and enjoyed our stay, great hotel downtown and super walkable! The only downside we had was that the mini fridge is NOT a fridge but a cooling drawer that you have to put ice in. So all our food went bad. The doors are heavy on the rooms and do not soft close, they slam loud and woke me up a few times during our stay. Not a huge deal but definitely not great if you are a light sleeper.
