Our room was clearly not vacuumed or cleaned well at all. There was dirt on the side of the tub and a single rose petal, along with other dirty unidentified things, on the floor. In addition to the uncleanliness there was a vent in the ceiling that smelled terribly of weed and gross things every time it kicked on, which was so unpleasant
Rented a room to swim during the crappy winter. However a fellow parent(one not swimming or playing with her kid) bitched about drinking. Yet she was smoking right outside the patio. Personally LADY cigarettes are worse for your kids and yourself, that's just my healthcare stance. Other people had drinks and food in the pool space but we can not? Also it's humid as hell in there. But no drinks and no water for kids either(HOW KIND)
YET the smoky continued and she left her child in the pool area alone to swim. Talk about double standards. Although I did see the complaining parent and front desk staff just chatting it up. No worries we will take our business elsewhere.
Id be curious to see how the no drinks works in the summer......
The other awful part, was the third floor smelled disgusting, almost as if it was designated smoking room. Even my littles coughed getting off the elevator.....but all the front desk said was I'll let management know, I bet she didn't. So so disappointed in our local Best Western. Anyone looking for a relaxing time at a hotel, NOT THIS ONE.

Update in response to owner:
Thank you for responding. However, your reply does not reflect what actually happened.
There was no alcohol involved with our family — only water for our children in a hot, humid pool room, which the posted rules did not prohibit. The main issue that evening was smoking in the pool area. A guest had the door propped open and was actively smoking, allowing cigarette smoke to fill the pool room and hallway and exposing my 2-month-old baby and other children to secondhand smoke.
This was brought to the front desk’s attention and was brushed off, with no immediate action taken. Shortly after, the same employee left the desk multiple times to smoke herself, which made it clear why the situation was not treated seriously.
If the hotel is truly non-smoking with designated areas, those policies were not enforced that night — yet our children were quickly corrected for simply drinking water.
We understand busy weekends happen. Our disappointment came from inconsistent policy enforcement and our children being placed in an unhealthy environment.
I hope this clarifies what occurred

We booked a room specifically so our kids could swim and enjoy the pool on a cold winter day. It started out great — until the front desk employee singled out our children for having water to drink in the pool area. Meanwhile, there were pizza boxes in the trash from previous guests, so clearly eating and drinking had already been happening. The posted rules only said no glass, not no drinks at all.
Anyone who’s been in a humid pool room knows how hot it gets — telling kids they can’t have fresh water is ridiculous.
What made it worse: another guest was actively smoking cigarettes with the door open, filling the hotel with smoke and exposing my 2-month-old baby and other children to secondhand smoke. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes when we walked in.
When I pointed this out, the front desk employee brushed it off and made no effort to address the smoking — yet had no problem policing kids drinking water. Shortly after, she even left the desk herself to go smoke outside, which explained why it apparently “wasn’t a big deal.”
If there are designated smoking areas, they clearly weren’t being enforced.
Overall, the experience was uncomfortable, poorly managed, and disappointing. We won’t be returning.

We have stayed here a few times now and have always came back because it was always warm and friendly. But, unfortunately this time. The lady working the front desk. She's not welcoming or friendly at all.
