    I had a confirmed reservation on a Saturday evening when all the hotels in the area were booked to capacity. When I arrived at 7:30, I was told there were no rooms available despite my reservation. The person at the front desk was unable to help us find another room. Not only could we not stay there, but then the hotel charged us a "no show" fee. I'm highly unimpressed and frustrated with the entire situation! Updated: There is a charge on my credit card and I have received a receipt with the exact explanation of a no show. Ultimately, this charge was removed by the hotel.

    Room not available upon my arrival.They did upgrade me to a better room at same price. But the inconvenience of moving the next day was terrible. Because that was the day of my brother's funeral. And I felt rushed to get ready because of the transferring of different rooms , and my room originally was still not ready , even at 9 or 10 am. The continental breakfast and coffee was exceptional. The staff was very accommodating with moving the rooms. The swimming pool and Fitness area made up for a very stressful time in our family life. My sister and, husband and, 90-year-old father also stayed. Their room was good , but no room service from Friday till Sunday.

    I stayed at the IHG hotel in Grand Blanc over Thanksgiving, and I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Ashish for making my visit truly pleasant. His kindness goes far beyond standard customer service, he was understanding, attentive, and consistently professional throughout my stay. Because of him, my experience felt welcoming and comfortable, and I genuinely appreciated the level of care he provided. The other staff members were also warm and helpful, contributing to a great overall stay. While the bathtub in my room had some noticeable chipping and could benefit from remodeling, I understand this is outside of Ashish’s control. His excellent service more than made up for this, and he is a key reason I would return to this location in the future. Thank you again, Ashish, for your exceptional dedication and hospitality.

    We had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. We were traveling last-minute to Flint because a close family member was terminally ill, and our connecting flight from Chicago was cancelled due to a major snowstorm. We were stranded overnight in Chicago and repeatedly tried to contact the hotel to let them know we would be arriving late, but their automated phone system kept failing and we were never able to reach an actual person. Despite our attempts to notify them, the hotel canceled our entire reservation—including the second night, which we still needed—and still charged us for both nights. No one from the hotel attempted to call us before canceling the reservation. When we were finally able to speak with someone, we were told we could rebook the second night only if we paid an additional $200. They have refused to refund either night, even though the cancellation was due to a weather emergency and we had no ability to reach Michigan. We ended up staying at the Home2 Suites next door, and they proactively called us to confirm our delayed arrival—exactly the type of customer service we expected here but did not receive. Given the weather emergency, our documented travel disruption, and the circumstances of our trip, the lack of communication and unwillingness to assist was extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel based on this experience.
