- WLWesley LinnApr 21, 20265.0We recently had to relocate my 80 yr old grandmother away from the floodings at Black Lake and we had her stay here for 5 nights. Since we are from down state in Detroit, relocating her far south was not in her best interest. Being that she was away from her home for an extended period of time, she had a difficult time coping with the flooding. Polo at the front desk made sure she felt safe, looked after, and overall attended to her needs with the best professionalism I have ever experienced from a hotel front desk. He truly treated her and her experience as if she was his own mother. Thank you again Polo for your wonderful hospitality and care for my grandmother. The room was spotless and the accessibility was just what she needed. The room staff did an excellent job turning over the room, replenishing her towels for clean ones, and always checked in regularly to see if she needed anything. The staff truly made our difficult time into one to we can remember fondly. Thank you Holiday Inn Gaylord team for making my grandmothers stay a wonderful experience!
