  Have stayed at this hotel a few times now, always been a nice hotel, great and friendly staff but unfortunately this time wasn’t so great, nothing with the staff but the rooms in the 300-400 wing have mold through the exterior wall. We could smell it as soon as the ac turned on, on top of the the main hallway to get to the room also has a moldy mildew smell to is, The windows are leaking and the wallpaper is peeling back and it’s nothing but black mold, I took it up to the front desk and the lady was super nice and gave us keys to a another room down the hall which unfortunately had the same issue, went and checked on my co workers room in the same hall and same thing, we went back down there she appoligized again and gave us a room in the 100 hall, room smell way better and no signs of leaking windows or mold. Definitely need to do repairs on the 300-400 hall but other than that rest of hotel is great!

  Not sure why people have bad reviews on this hotel but I had a great experience. The whole hotel was clean, nice staff and great breakfast. The pool and hot tub were also nice 😊

  Horrible run down hotel needs a complete renovation. Hallway carpet is worn and ripped . The side entrance does not lock and every time someone opens the door it closes with a very loud metal on metal noise it woke me up twice. Breakfast was terrible.. My shower tub did not drain and it kept dripping through out the night. TV in fitness center did not work.. I can go on and on.. Hopefully management will close it down for renovations or bulldoze it..

  The jacuzzi was disgusting. The color of the water made my stomach turn. There was no seal around the door, leaving a lot of light in the room and sound from the hallway. No fan in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient, when sharing the room with others. Also, the back outside door didn’t lock, which in my opinion is a security issue. Lastly, I told the desk lady a price I found online to book, she said she would beat it, then did not at check in. Breakfast in the am wasn’t anything good. Apple juice was basically water. I’d stay somewhere else in Gaylord if I visit again. Pictures are of jacuzzi water, and door without seal.

  Honestly I can't understand how this hotel got a 4.2 rating. I'm currently staying in the hotel and this is my very honest opinion. The lady at the front desk was very polite and quick with service, I would give her a 5 star rating for service. The actual hotel however does not do so well. I'm staying in a room on the first floor and definitely regret that choice. My room must be very near the main hot water tank because I can hear water flowing and making drain pipe noises near constantly in the evening. When someone is walking on the 2nd floor the ceiling in my room makes popping sounds, the door doesn't close on its own when you walk in - it needs to be pushed closed and people right outside my door sound like they could walk in at any second. The pool and hot tub at right at the front lobby so be prepared to be on display for everyone to see you. The beds are just OK comfortable. The sink in the room, yea you read that correctly not the bathroom but "the main room" has a huge crack in it. The bathroom door is completely delaminating from the shower head that either dumps water on you or sprays water completely outside of the tub area. Be very careful, the how water is VERY HOT and nearly burned me a few times, just past the warm setting in the middle the tub faucet goes from Luke warm to burning your skin with just a tap!!!! The toilet in my room is not bolted to the floor very good and rocks back and forth when standing or sitting - its not leaking so it could be worse I guess - just startles you pretty darn good during a night time nature call. The breakfast was "ok" for being included, it's your average waffle maker and 2 skillets full of mini omelets and sausages, yogurt and dry cereal - nothing to get excited over and the same "hot" breakfast you will find at many hotels. All in all, this place is very much an average to slightly below average hotel. Like I said, I'm not at all sure how it got this high of a rating. All of this together may have been OK if the place was $75 a night but not for $300 for 2 nights. The perceived value just isn't here. Personally I will be looking at another hotel and will not be staying here again.
