In Downtown Frankenmuth, were surrounded by restaurants. The River Place Shops, the Ultimate Mirror Maze, Bronners Christmas Wonderland, and Zehnder's Splash Village are all within a half mile of our hotel. Our pet-friendly suites include kitchenettes. Enjoy our complimentary breakfast, event room, fitness center, and indoor pool.
Twice a year, I come to this area for an event. Typically, I stay at the Hampton Inn in Birch Run but this time, I decided to try this Home2 Suites.
This Home2 Suites is new so as one would expect, everything looks really nice and is in great condition. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The location is great for many of the things for which people typically visit Frankenmuth. You could even walk to some of the attractions.
As is the case with most of the Hilton brands, Home2 Suites offers a breakfast included in the cost of your room. I found this breakfast to be fine but I like the selection of items better at the Hampton Inn in Birch Run. Also, the breakfast does not start until 7:30 AM (too late for my needs) on the weekend at this Home2 Suites.
Would I stay at this location again? While I acknowledge it will be a great choice for many people, it may not be the best choice for me. One pays a premium for being in Frankenmuth so the Hampton Inn in Birch Run is cheaper. Also, since I like the breakfast offering and earlier hours at the Hampton Inn better, I may opt for that location. As is the case when selecting any hotel, none are perfect so you just need to decide which one best meets your needs. Between this Home2 Suites and the Hampton Inn in Birch Run, they will both probably make most people happy.

BED BUGS!! We woke up in the morning to a bed bug on top of the bed. We quickly trapped it and showed it to management. One lady at the front desk even laughed about it, but the other lady was apologetic and we got a refund for our room. The shower in our room had hair in the drain as well. For a newer hotel, I am thoroughly disappointed in the cleanliness of it. We will NEVER stay here again.

We Checked in New Year’s Eve. It’s Very clean and a wonderful place to stay . Close to down town and all the cool shops are within 5 minute drive . What made it exceptionally nice was the fact Harold went above and beyond to accommodate me. I am very sensitive to fragrances and unfortunately the sheets as well as the comforter had a strong scent to them.
He brought up all new bedding within a few minutes after I placed a call to him . He was very friendly and polite.
It was very much appreciated and helped my few night stay bearable . Thanks for not making it feel like a burden.
You are great Harold !!

Was very weary and eager to book with all of the issues thay have been posted by other reviewers. My wife myself and 2 kids are on day 2 of 4 of our Christmas getaway and everything has been so far so good. It seems they have gotten rid of the negligence that was causing overlooking and cancelations that waated stated before. Front desk has been helpful and breakfast is good. No complaints here when I usually am easy to find them. Checked right in when arrived

Unfortunately we did not have the best stay on our trip to Frankenmuth. Home 2 Suites is my go to hotel when traveling and this experience was less than ideal.
Upon arrival we are usually offered a complimentary water bottle or even a warm cookie as Hilton Honors member, sometimes that water bottle is left in the room, but there was nothing offered to us upon our arrival.
We were also traveling with our dog and when I booked over the summer home I inquired what the pet fee would be and they said it was $75. When checking in they tried to charge us $155 for our pet until my husband questioned it and edited the contract they had him sign.
When settling in and opening up the extra bedding it was crammed in the bag unfolded which led me to believe these were used previously and not washed. When opening the bag to get the throw blanket out to use while watching tv, it had stains that looked like dried menstrual blood and so did the sheets.
Then when waking up in the morning to get our complimentary breakfast we walked downstairs to see when it would be open and the time posted was 6:30 am. We got there around 6:15am so we decided to get a cup of coffee and wait with our 7 month old for it to open. The lady at the front desk saw us look at the time on the sign and sit down in the dinning area to wait. We then proceeded to sit until 7:00 am waiting for breakfast to be served. I then walked over to the door and knocked to inquire about if breakfast was ready as others were gathering in the dinning area as well to be told the cook wasn't there yet and no hot food was available. We then waited until 7:10 for them to open the doors for my husband to be able to at least get a bowl of cereal. I then went over to get another cup of coffee since breakfast was still not ready to be greeted with an empty container. I walked over towards the front desk to inform the receptionist (the same lady who failed to let us know breakfast wouldn't be ready at 6:30 and let us sit for almost an hour) that the coffee was empty to be met with an eye roll, not even a "thank you for letting me know."
I informed the hotel of my concerns about our stay and was told the General Manager would be calling me the next day. I unfortunately never received the call even after waiting a week which led me to leave this review.
We were so looking forward to this stay and unfortunately it was not the greatest experience.
