    My boyfriend and i stayed this past weekend for a rock concert and we could not have been more pleased with our stay. The staff was exceptional and everyone from the cleaning staff, valet, front desk and especially our concierge, Antonio. The expertise and friendlyness of the staff made a lasting impact on us. Every single thing we needed that weekend was taken care of and we were please with how every recommendation surpassed our expectations and needs! The place itself was classy and nicely decorated and rooms and bed were very comfortable. Parking was very reasonable and offered hourly or nightly rates for transient parking. However, the icing on the cake was the top tier staff welcoming us in. I cant express enough how super friendly, everyone here was. We felt like regulars at a place we had never been. We won’t be staying anywhere else when visiting Detroit!

    Absolutely amazing hotel from first step in to last step out. We were celebrating a 30th birthday and upon check-in Sharon and Tashi were absolute saints! These two girls are the definition of what hospitality should be for the Hilton corporation. These two were so accommodating, so friendly, and attentive to detail. They made our entire trip. The rooms were spotless, the common areas are clean. Bar staff was friendly. Upon checkout I noticed a minor error on the bill and I called customer service and reached Charming. Who handled the issue quickly and promptly immediately. I had an answer within an hour of calling. I can’t emphasize enough how grateful I am for this stay and how meaningful you made our trip! Thanks girls!!!! Also the nice light skin young baggage boy with short dreads was an angel and a gentleman and took great care of us and our baggage and went out of his way to care for the group. This hotel is also in a great location and is Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and casinos

    First time visiting and wasn't really a fan! Beautiful hotel but Front desk was rude! Valet is suppose to be convenient but we ended up waiting almost an hour to get my car and was late to our dinner reservation, thank goodness for grace periods! I texted the valet for my car the text told me allow up to 15 mins but when 30 mins passed by and people were getting their cars before mine, I went up to a valet worker and it seemed they never got my text, we still waited almost another 30 mins to get my car! I wasn't happy because some people only waited 10-15 mins while my boyfriend and I waited almost a whole hour! We were promised we would get a refund for the overnight valet, WE NEVER GOT THE REFUND, we got charged smh! Too expensive to have a horrible experience!

    Morning coffee service in hotel lobby. Coffee pot empty - advised hostess at restaurant - Hamilton/ she just nodded and I went back to lobby bar to wait- hostess came out and took the pot after 15 minutes and I asked if they were bringing it out, she said yes but if you don’t want to wait I could come into the restaurant and get a cup but I would need to “pay for it”. First of all they should have been monitoring the coffee pot and secondly she should offered to provide a complementary cup considering I had to wait 15-20 minutes. To top it off she had a poor attitude. Clearly displayed. Very disappointed. Friday 2/20/25- 8:00am- UPDATE UPDATE- 2/21- Thank you for responding so quickly to my concern. It’s nice to know that management reads the reviews and takes immediate action. This minor incident would not preclude me from staying at the Godfrey in the future and I will be back. To anyone considering staying here the service employees have been exceptional including : Antonio who accompanied us to our room and made sure it was acceptable, Lola who addressed my concern and personally delivered room service, Tina who waited on us in the Roof top bar- her service was outstanding and Charming who greeted us in the lobby last evening and gave us a special greeting. Additionally want to personally recognize Gail Gardner who seated us at the lounge was very welcoming and accommodating and a shout out to the entire staff at the Godfrey who made us feel at home.

    If you value professionalism and moral integrity I would stay far away from this hotel!!! During my recent stay here for my birthday, my family had a surprise gift delivered to the hotel. My gift was delivered, however I never received it. The staff decided to give my birthday gift to a random guest and refused to resolve the issue with me. I made several calls to the hotel staff and management. I sent a number of emails to the management team, namely Sharon, who is apparently the ONLY individual to assist with matters of this magnitude, and got ZERO response. I took time off of work to go back to the hotel during business hours and was told that there was nothing that they could do. I realized then that this was not a matter of mishap, but a matter of THEFT! With Valentine's day around the corner, I would alarm you not to have flowers, gifts or edible arrangements delivered to this hotel. We work too hard to be robbed of our hard earned money and much needed relaxation.
