I will give the room 2 stars. The size of the room was good and the location was good. Everything else can use some improvement. The bathroom was dirty The toilet had hair on it at the bottom of it had urine on the bottom of the toilet. Also, the tub was stained and looked like it could use a new coat of paint on it. It was not clean properly. The edges of the restroom were not cleaned. The bed was poorly made up. I stayed in this hotel for two days and not one time. Did anyone from their housekeeping department come and offer me any towels for the next day that I was there? anything which I found not to be considerate seeing that they charge so much for this room My expectations were higher than what I received I don't believe this room is worth what they're charging. The parking is super inconvenient. $55 a night. It just seems like price gouging when the room is already expensive to stay. Even when pulling up to the hotel, trying to get checked in the valet is so rude telling you that you need to move your car if you're not about to pay for parking like you can't even get checked in without them asking for money. When I was checking out, I parked in a lot by the hotel and they were already trying to get my car towed and it wasn't even out there for no more than five minutes. I really did not enjoy my stay at this room and I doubt I will be back at that location

We loved our first stay for a Tigers game, so we came back for an interview weekend — and it was just as great. When our car alarm wouldn’t stop going off, Ken (who was busy painting!) immediately dropped what he was doing, grabbed tools, and used his mechanic experience to help us. He completely saved the day. Truly above-and-beyond service!

This is a very nice hotel. We stayed here once for a tigers game and another time for an interview. We pulled in with some car troubles and Ken was extremely helpful, he helped us troubleshoot, was very kind and we got the car fixed. Thanks Ken!

We chose the Hilton Garden as our overnight spot to better enjoy an evening of dinner in Greektown (Spitiko) and a concert at the Fox Theater (John Legend). It was the perfect location! It's easy to get to, the staff was terrific (A+ to Latrice), and our room was clean and comfortable. Our new base of operations whenever we come to the D! Thanks Hilton Garden team!

I was not able to check in online with the app being a Hilton Honors member, nor obtain my digital room key in a timely manor. Not sure if has to do with this hotel or in general with the app as I had this issue before in Boston.
