- JVJose Vera3 days ago3.0This is one of the nicer hotels I had the opportunity to stay at. I travel weekly for work and have stayed in 100s of hotels. It’s not perfect, new or luxurious but it is a well maintained and comfortable place. Yes a few details and things go fix or upgrade. Minor cleaning details and cleanup but overall a good place at or near the Detroit area. Plenty of parking and wide open spaces. A very large courtyard and large dining area. The pool was open and looked very inviting. The suits are very well supplied and comfortable. There is fruit place daily and breakfast in the morning as a courtesy. The front desk was slow at check in but overall it was taken care of it all.

I should’ve known it wasn’t true when I saw only one photo posted on the room listing. We arrived at the hotel and the rooms are very poorly maintained. We got the suite. The floor and carpet had stains on them. Not to mention they were ripped and in bad shape. There were flies in the room, we tried to overlook all these things. Until I got up and found a disgusting bug crawling on the floor. My family and I decided it was too filthy to stay. We left and did not sleep the night. The manager refused to refund us because we “checked out” even though one wasn’t available that night. I’m so confused why the other reviews state the rooms are amazing and lovely, It was far from the experience my family and I experienced. I definitely do not recommend. Update: I feel the need to comment on the businesses reply. The records indicate the room was occupied? Clearly, considering we went in and found bugs. But does the record indicate we left a couple hours after “occupying” the room? Had a manager been on site, it probably would have. No need to twist the situation. I ended up disputing the charge with the credit card company because the refusal to do so from the hotel.

The room was filthy and poorly maintained — stains on the carpet, couch, and bedding, damaged fixtures, loose door hinges, and a strong unpleasant odor. We also noticed flies, and the final straw was finding a bug crawling on the floor that night. We checked out before 11 p.m. and didn’t even stay the night, yet management refused a refund, citing a “no return” policy. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and accountability from staff made this stay truly unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel — you never know what you’re going to get.
