The Earl is a newly redesigned boutique hotel in Charlevoix, Michigan. Our stunning 56 guest rooms bring a modern twist and cosmopolitan vibe to Earl Young’s Weathervane Lodge. More than a hotel, The Earl offers a contemporary hotel and two different bar experiences just one block from Round Lake and minutes from Lake Michigan. New in Summer 2022 is HI Bar, our rooftop bar. Sit high above the city and enjoy breathtaking views of Round Lake and downtown Charlevoix. LO Bar, located in our lobby offers cozy indoor and outdoor seasonal seating. Both bars offer the best handcrafted cocktails, our signature Party Girl bubbly, an abundance of Michigan beers and small plate snacks.

- MJMatthew J5 days ago4.0Overall, I had a really good stay here and would definitely come back. The staff was super friendly and made check-in easy, and everything around the hotel felt clean and well taken care of. My room was nice too modern, tidy, and had everything I needed. The bathroom was great, and the whole place just had a comfortable, relaxed vibe. Location was also a big plus easy to get around and close to plenty of spots to eat and explore. It was pretty quiet too, which I always appreciate. Honestly, the only downside for me was the bed. It just wasn’t very comfortable, and I had a hard time getting a good night’s sleep. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely noticeable. Other than that, everything was solid and I’d still recommend it 👍

- SBShari BlackApr 14, 20265.0The last week of March my daughter and I took a roadtrip to Charlevoix. . . seeing Earl Young's Mushroom Houses were our top priority (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) but we were also longing for a pool and hot tub adventure. THE EARL DID NOT DISAPPOINT❣️ Brandon's (a/k/a Earl) warm smile and the stone and carved wood mantle fireplace was so welcoming after a rain-soaked 3 1/2 hour drive❣️🔥🔥 We were given a luxurious, upgraded room on third floor. It was huge and well-appointed and artsy. The shower was massive and lovely, as was the bathroom. We had a balcony with a view of Lake Charlevoix. The nights were always quiet, and the beds were super comfy. We donned the thick white terrycloth robes to walk to the glorious three-waterfalled, fountained pool and outdoor hot tub. Defying the cold air and the light rain in the steamy hot tub was our favorite indulgence both nights. The coffee from the coffee machine with everything from Americana to Lattes to Espresso and available 24 hours was insanely smooth and soul soothing. The rooftop bar was not open in March, but we will return this summer to take in the fun and the views❣️ Thank you, Brandon, for taking care of us. We are so grateful. 🙏❤️
