The Earl is a newly redesigned boutique hotel in Charlevoix, Michigan. Our stunning 56 guest rooms bring a modern twist and cosmopolitan vibe to Earl Young’s Weathervane Lodge. More than a hotel, The Earl offers a contemporary hotel and two different bar experiences just one block from Round Lake and minutes from Lake Michigan. New in Summer 2022 is HI Bar, our rooftop bar. Sit high above the city and enjoy breathtaking views of Round Lake and downtown Charlevoix. LO Bar, located in our lobby offers cozy indoor and outdoor seasonal seating. Both bars offer the best handcrafted cocktails, our signature Party Girl bubbly, an abundance of Michigan beers and small plate snacks.

It was nice having our bed made each morning and towels and water refreshed. Lobby was cozy and welcoming. Staff was friendly and courteous. Couldn't ask for a better location for exploring Charlevoix. A bit of a drive to get to Boyne Highlands and Nubs tho. And while the included breakfast was pretty typical, everything seemed to taste better than your standard hotel breakfast. Also appreciated that coffee machine had decaf.
