    Kyle the manager is amazing and goes out of his way for every guest. Harriet and Josh both go above and beyond with their friendliness and helpfulness with your stay. If you have a pup bring them! Even the maintenance man makes her feel like family when he surprises her with a treat! Very nice hotel with great amenities, delicious breakfast, and the employees make the stay worth your while.

    I unfortunately made a very quick but very expensive mistake and booked my hotel for Brighton instead of Ann Arbor and did not realize until I had already rebooked with the Ann Arbor location. When I tried to explain myself to management, and ask for help getting a refund since I was staying and paying for two nights night in Ann Arbor on the same night, they refused to help. They refused to make any exceptions or refunds and said I was a no show. I simply did not realize I booked with the wrong hotel so I booked again; it was when I saw the charge from my bank that I realized my mistake and reached out for help. We even tried to have hotel management from Ann Arbor intervene still with no luck and no help from Brighton Holiday Inn. I had to pay double for one stay because of a computer error. I wonder how much money the hotels make off mistakes like these?? There’s got to be a better way to give the guest a happier experience, don’t you think? Is there no insurance or way to help the older generations who don’t always get it right with booking online? I was there with my daughter for my birthday to celebrate with a swim in the pool. Instead I got a double charge due to a simple error and definitely left quite unsatisfied

    Don’t go here. You literally cannot even shut the lights off in the room. You’d think it’d be a switch like every other room on the planet. Instead it wants you to put your cards in a holder to shut the lights off and it doesn’t work. So, unless you sleep in a lit up room, look elsewhere.

    I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on September 20, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The television in our room didn’t work from the moment we checked in. When I called the front desk, the employee said he would call the manager (Kyle) for guidance. I was then told I could either check out for a full refund or stay without a TV for a $50 credit. Since nearby hotels were sold out, I accepted the $50 credit. The TV seemed to be unplugged at both the wall and the base, but since it was mounted on the wall, I couldn't get to the back of it to try to plug everything back in. I didn’t want to risk damaging anything. I asked if someone could come plug it in or fix it, but the manager said he didn’t know how either — which was baffling. I was told the general manager would be in at 9 a.m. to issue the credit, but the next morning, staff said he wasn’t there. I’ve left multiple messages and sent emails to him since then, and no one has responded. At this point, I feel I’ve tried everything and still haven’t received a resolution or even basic communication. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I’ve stayed at many IHG properties and have always had positive experiences, but this particular location has completely failed to uphold the brand’s standards. If you value follow-through and customer service, I would recommend choosing another hotel.
