Hampton Inn did not disappoint! We decided to come into Big Rapids a night prior to a surgery due to the treacherous weather that was being called for. The check in was quick and front desk staff was super nice! The room was very clean as was the hotel itself. Highly recommend!!

Horrible Service and Rude Employees and management. Kids were harassed and accused the entire time we were there. Three Weeks later after checking my bill, I have an extra $106 fee on my card. I called and they stated it was from a broken toilet.... The toilet had no issues during my stay. Avoid this hotel at all costs! There are plenty of others in the area. Also during our stay there were multiple guests being turned away and sent to other hotels because they overbooked... Corporate executives are aware of the poor hospitality at this location.
*To Add after their reply...
I was attacked rudely on the phone call when I informed them they would need to refund the money they took without a bill. There was no communication from them that there was an issue. The toilet WAS NOT broken on our departure. I spoke with corporate and they are refunding me the money. They also informed me that this location, specifically this lady, has had multiple complaints and action is being taken.

This is a perfect location off the freeway. Very close to Ferris State University for conferences. The room was very clean and during your stay they clean the rooms/wipe down every other day. The breakfast is a great selection. In case you forgot a travel necessity, they have a little store to accommodate. I will be returning.

To the lady who lied about there being a broken toilet and lied responding to a review, you are a liar.
Your employees were harassing children so if you really don’t tolerate harassment go and talk to your employee who was harassing the children and making lies about the children.
There was no broken toilet and you DID overbook and send people to other hotels, I was in the lobby WATCHING your employees send people to other hotels because clearly you cannot count how many rooms you have available or not.
For anyone reading this review DO avoid this hotel all they want is your money and will lie about a broken toilet for the extra 106 dollars.

Workers think it’s okay to verbally assault children, we came here for a hockey tournament and within 5 minutes of being here they had accused the kids of “playing and running on the stairs”. They accused the kids of running into workers which they had never done (and had refused to show proof through footage) the lady was screaming at the kids in a aggressive rude way which is not okay at all. By the time we were close to leaving (and while we were at the final game) they had ripped door signs we had put up with painters tape on the Room door signs though it was not on the door and painters tape does not damage (you could still see the room number). They had also taped rules in both elevators which were not mentioned before we got to the hotel and they had been accusing and pointing fingers at the kids for things they have not done.
I do not recommend this hotel and we will not be returning.
