  My name is Fabian Ramirez, I’m an anti-bullying speaker for school assemblies. I was hired by Lincoln High School recently and decided to stay close to the school, so I chose Hampton Inn Allen Park. When I landed, I called the hotel and asked for a shuttle and they picked me up right away. Front desk was polite and checked me in right away. They had coffee ready, loved my stay. It helped me rest so I can motivate students the next morning!

  The staff here were all extremely friendly. Special mentions to Iesha for having such a kind spirit, its a breath of fresh air when your not at home. Prime location, 15-20min from downtown Detroit. Only recommendation is bathrooms in the rooms need a real door vs sliding door.

  We specifically booked this hotel because it advertised an airport shuttle. Upon landing in Detroit, we immediately called the hotel to request shuttle pickup. We had attempted to schedule the shuttle prior to takeoff but were told this was not allowed. After landing, we called as instructed but were not picked up for another 1.5 hours. During the time we were waiting, we attempted to call the front desk again for assistance. We were placed on hold for rougly 20 minutes and then disconnected by the front desk employee. The only way we were able to reach the front desk again was by going through the reservations line and having them connect us to the front desk. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend staying here. This is a repost of my earlier review because management responded to it asking for the reservation details. The reservation was booked under my fiance's name, Gabe South, and was on 1/25/26-1/26/26.

  This hotel failed at every opportunity they had to make rights out of wrongs. Stepped into our room to find a foul odor. Then, toilet was broken. Was offered to switch rooms and we could be switched to one with two beds, which, was actually a better fit for this stay. Well, when we arrived back to switch, their kindness went away, said the room upgrade would cost an additional $40/night, and they put us in an even smaller room! Went to the fitness center. Two treadmills broken, the stationary bike was broken, and the tv didn’t work. Asked for an extended late check out and the answer was a firm “no”. Explained what we’d been through but the answer didn’t change. Hampton Inn and Suites had a very easy opportunity to earn at least four stars, but seemed committed to strive for One Star Service!

  Stayed here on the first floor for business found roaches at base of the bed frame didn’t report it since it was my last day there but just thought I’d let people know
