- HBH BootheDec 27, 20251.0I made a reservation for the holiday inn as a Christmas gift for my son and family. The day I was supposed to check morning of they called me and said this was not allowed. I said i don't understand. The woman proceeded by stating. You don't live 30 miles away so you can not stay. I said it was a Christmas gift. Rude this is our policy and you can not stay. I think it is absurd that just because I am a local I can not book. Some times it is really nice to go out for the night away from home. Just self care to escape life's stresses. I find it ironic that people tell you make sure you do self care self care and then you try and others say rudely NO. I certainly do not recommend this hotel to anyone and I am very dissatisfied that they as for at 24hrs before canceling but they cancel within 6hrs of you stay. Best western down the street accommodated me and it was absolutely a beautiful place to stay with all staff friendly and kind.
- TStimothy silvaDec 27, 20251.0DO NOT RENT A ROOM HERE horrible service i didnt even get to stay at all so basically i live outta state and as a Christmas present my family member booked a room for me and my kids to stay at 3 weeks in advance then the hotel manager calls the day of about 4 hours before my check in time to say she has to cancel the reservation cause my family member lived to “close” I explained to the manager that the room was for me and my kids and it was a Christmas present and I lived outta state and she then got rude and said we couldn’t have stayed there regardless I asked then if I could book it under my name and she said “ we’re not gonna play this ring around game” then she told me I could contact corporate I asked for a manager she said there wasn’t one there privately owned and then hung up on me I contacted corporate and corporate couldn’t make contact with them. I then called around to other hotels in the area and found that it’s a regular thing the best western hotel that’s down the street from them felt so bad about my experience that they gave me a free room no charge at all so that I would still be able to enjoy my holiday stay with my children HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and a horrible hotel that’s not how you do business with anyone there are much cheaper and better stays around Waterville

They denied my reservation. This was a gift for my four year-old. He was not happy when I told him the people will not let us stay. Nowhere on the website, Booking.com hotel.com says that Waterville residence cannot stay here.
