- MGmickey GhirraDec 19, 20255.0Our go to for a wonderful stay in Portland Maine. Important to note, this hotel does take cats and up to medium size dogs. We have never had a bad experience. Breakfast is vast, rooms are clean and spacious. The pool and hot tub are a treat, the gym has a lot to offer. Coin op laundry on site. Air port shuttle service and discounts for hotel guests when they eat at Sebago restaurant in the conjoined parking lot.

I have delivery of refrigerated meds every 3 days and the staff are great to get it to my room as soon as it is delivered to the desk. My dish washer was not draining after a wash cycle. I Told the desk staff, 1 hour later a tech was at my door he fixed it and works great now. I suggest to sign up for hilton honors that is a good deal too!

But, when we were trying to stay on budget during the Maine Marathon weekend, we opted to stay 15 minutes south of downtown Portland. The hotel actually is quite a distance away from the jetport (approx 5 miles?) so you don't hear any airport noise. It also is nestled in a fairly remote area, away from the large mall and shopping area less than a mile away. The staff were mostly helpful, the sole exception being the late night desk clerk; but, everyone has an "off" shift, and I am sure that this was the case. The day staff and kitchen staff were amazing on each day that we stayed. The rooms are very very clean and without any flaws (that we could see). The indoor pool and hot tub also were very clean and well maintained. While this hotel isnt the most conveniently located for doing things in Portland, the value and quietness and overall state of the property make it a great option.
