We stayed here as part of a wedding block of rooms and way overpaid ($411/night!) This hotel has a great location but I have stayed at La Quintas that are more luxurious.
The Pros:
-View of the Harbor
-Walking distance to a few shops and eateries
-Easy parking on site
-Bathrobes in the room
The cons:
Everything else:
-Rooms are in serious need of a facelift. The furniture is dated and downright ugly. The bathroom was hilariously underwhelming (pic posted)
-There is not a lobby to congregate in if you're traveling as part of a group.
-The room keys are physical keys labeled with hotel name and room number. Quaint? maybe. Potentially unsafe? definitely!
- There is no phone in the room if you wanted to call the front desk
- The continental breakfast was exactly that- basically bakery items, yogurt, and coffee set up on a table at the restaurant next door.
-The rooms do not have blackout curtains and sunrise was just after 5am in June.

My daughter took me here for my birthday, what a wonderful place The Breakwater is. Clean and sunny room. Our continental breakfast was delivered in a basket outside our room so we could sit on our deck and enjoy breakfast with the beautiful view of the river and ocean as the boats heading out for the day. This is my experience here and I look forward to coming again.

It was a great place to stay, even at the end of October. We didn't eat at the small restaurant. The rooms were a good size and could use a little more light. Great vies from the room and the patio!

We stayed here a couple weeks ago Oct2021 it was a surprise from my fiancé’ for my birthday. The location of the Inn was lovely, like most of the area, I must say our rooms for the price really fell short!! The creme color carpets in our room were a disgrace, big stains everywhere, I took pictures, then I guess previous guests had windows open, there are no screens so we saw little fruit flies in the room. The real kicker, I found someone else’s cloths in a drawer!!! ? Also the elevator rug was so dirty I bet had not been vacuumed in some time!I did call main office day we left and asked to speak to manager (did not want to ruin the trip my fiancé’ worked so hard to make special by complaining day 1) I told the person working there to relay my message never heard back from anyone!👎🏻
