  The workers here were incredibly rude here saying that we left the room a mess and would be fined, the room was left fine. The room was already in bad shape, the door hinges to the lock was totally pulled out with the screws visible someone can easily break in. This hotel is not expensive and had been junk for a while. Do better!!! Do not come to this hotel it’s a waste of money!!!

  If it weren't for Nicole and Hailey I would have called the Maine Attorney General's office and accuse Best Western of fraud with the blatant switcheroo they pulled on me the other day. I booked a room in one hotel only to be told no, it's a different hotel next to the construction. I hope Best Western appreciates the kind of courtesy and professionalism that Nicole and Hailey bring to this winter motel. Instead of a Steven King novel it turned out to be a John Irving novel thanks to those two. They helped make my stay better than it was going to be. you can't find young people like them anymore so you'd better keep them happy. Also if you wonder if I'm just some lunatic, i want you to know that I once worked for the Jamaica Tourist board and i helped write the book on hospitality in Jamaica in 1991. Do better for your customers. Be like Nicole and Hailey or don't call yourselves a "Best Western."

  During one of the biggest snow storms this year me and my fiancé ended up here after my car broke down I made the staff aware my car was broke down and they were more than helpful . After getting my car fixed and put back together I needed to jump start my car and being it was 10 o'clock during the storm after fixing it in the parking lot ROSH the awesome gentleman working the front counter was absolutely amazing in asking if I needed help and when I did say yes I need to jump start my car he went above and beyond to help me out and I got my car running !!! I will say I've seen some reviews about this place and I disagree whoever heartedly with all the negative reviews.... I can say any trips near Portland or Freeport or surrounding areas in the future there will be absolutely NOWHERE else me and my fiancé will be staying !!!! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart rosh you rock! And to the rest of the staff here you guys are awesome thanks for everything 💗

  We stayed here for 4 nights in December. We were in room 301. There are two buildings seperate buildings which seems to not be advertised well. Everything was clean. It's definitely an older building but it is updated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The TV was solid and the DirectTV package was very good. Everything worked properly. The place was quiet. The check in was rather slow. I used Best Western Travel/Gift cards and apparently it didn't show up in their system even though it said they did on the app and website. It slowed the process down. No breakfast was a minor complaint but I'm sure that is because there's a really good cafe next door. For the price we paid, this was a great deal. This is a completely functional room with mini fridge and microwave and good chairs etc. Everything worked as it should. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a hotel room on a budget but that is not low quality.

  The location is convenient and the rooms are fairly clean (though outdated) but the service is absolutely terrible. Check-in is a nightmare because of the people. There is also no wifi in the top building; receptionists know this but will give you the run-around and ultimately don't care. Does the trick if you're desperate, but you can do better, babe.
