It sits on a hill (hence the views) so it's quiet, but it's minutes from the Park Loop Road and downtown Bar Harbor. If you care to walk, it's 20 minutes to town. I'll be back next year.

They have a complimentary drink bar with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh pastries. There's a little market and microwaves you can use as well. The rooms were nice, very clean, and had amazing views. The breakfast was very good with lots of options and local specialities as well - and best of all it was complimentary. The location was also good, close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. They even had a shuttle to I think Bar Harbor that we saw a few times but didn't get a chance to use. All the hotel staff were nice as well. We were a little hesitant to book when we saw it was a 2 star hotel, but we are so glad we chose this place. We asked them why they are only a 2 star, and they said because they are seasonal and have limited amenities - however this was definitely the nicest Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at, and I 100% recommend this hotel.
