We experienced outstanding and friendly service provided by Lisa Eady. She was very helpful in planning our trip to the Smithsonian on public transportation and helping us with numerous special requests that others might have found annoying. She greeted every question with humor, encouraging us to enjoy our time and in fact, we booked a second night we had not planned on.

This is a nice hotel. I love everything about the room. The style of it. The furniture. The size. The lighting. I don’t think I have scarcely stayed in such a nicely balanced hotel room. By a small margin, this might be my favorite room ever because everything is just right in a way that’s difficult to describe.

From the time I walked in until they time i checked out. I had and absolutely wonderful experience. Miss Leo at the front desk was such a joy to speak to and very honest and upfront about other restaurants to try while in town to make my stay more enjoyable. I can't speak High Enough of such a joy she is to speak with. You can honestly model the way she is and encourage others to be just like her. I will be back and stay at this exact Hotel on my next travel to the area.

I had the worst hotel experience staying at this doubletree. I stayed at the hotel January 2nd to the 4th. I checked in using the phone app as I normally do, and room 1516 is assigned to me with a digital key. I drop off my bags to my room and carry on with my activities for the day. I arrive at the room around one in the morning on the fourth, and my digital key did not open the door. I checked the app and my room had been changed to 1410. I did not ask for a new room and was not notified that a new room was given to me. I go speak to the front desk associate, and he states that my room was changed at 9:10pm, but did not have a reason why. I told him that my father and my bags were located in 1515, but he refused to allow me into the room. He gave me a key to 1410 and told me to go in the room even though I was very clear that that’s not my room and I had never been in the room. I just happened to find security as he was doing floor checks. I was not comfortable with opening the door, so I explained my situation and had him open the door. The female occupant had the latch on the door, so it wouldn’t open all of the way. She came to the door yelling who is it and why are you at my door. Security took me back to the front desk associate and I explained how dangerous it was for him to send me to a room that is occupied and he still wouldn’t give me a key to the room I stated I was in. He had the security escort me to the room. I showed security my dad and bags for verification, snd he was baffled. I spoke to the manager (Daniel Cheng) the next morning and explained the severity of the situation and how uncomfortable it made me feel. He was very nonchalant about the entire event and offered to give me back 35,000 points and refund parking that I did not request or use for me being placed in a situation that I could have been injured, arrested or put in a situation I didn’t deserve. I was never given another key, so I had to stay in the room until I checked out since they still hadn’t figured out why my room key was changed. I contacted another manager (Ethiopia Mekonnen) by phone and explained the situation. She says that she will find out what happened and get back to me. She emails me stating that I will be given 35,000 points and refunded for the parking that I did not have. I replied that was not suffice especially since I was charged for parking that I never requested or used, so how can that be refunded as an effort to make the situation better. Do not stay at this hotel. They have no regard to people’s safety, are very unprofessional and do not use logic or reasoning when handling very delicate situations.
