I had poor sleep, and my colleagues had worse experiences:
1. One colleague of mine staying at the same time as me got a room, and when she went in someone else's things were all spread out in that room. She went back to the lobby and requested another room, received it, and then half an hour later someone went into that room. That is two serious mishaps.
2. Another colleague reserved a room with a king bed, but ended up in a room with two twin beds. He complained for a while at the front desk and did not get a different room.
3. Within my room, you could hear every noise in the hallway (room service, other guests opening/closing their doors) and the bed was uncomfortable, so I got poor sleep.
That said, the rest of the room was fine, and the staff in the morning was friendly. My understanding is that on the day we checked in, a new employee was working at the front desk, which likely caused issues #1-2.

Stayed here for the second time needless to say it will be my last. When checking in the front staff seemed very disorganized and there were a number of current guest waiting to speak to the manger which didn’t pose a good feeling when checking in. When I finally arrived to my room and was sound asleep about 15 till 11pm I have a maintenance man opening my door and coming into my room. When asked what you are doing he said the front desk sent him up to fix my door. I said I never asked for it to be fixed and why would you be doing this late at night? When I called the front desk to get further information they said “we didn’t know you were in to room” at 11pm? A little warning would have been nice… I travel a lot and have never ran into an issue like this before.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a great location with plenty of shops and food options within walking distance. Rooms are spacious and generally quiet. I also appreciated the plant-based toiletries—the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion smelled great and felt high quality.
However, there were several concerns. The check-in experience felt rushed, and I was interrupted while speaking, and no reservation reminders were sent prior to arrival. My room also had maintenance issues—the sink had no hot water and leaked underneath, and the shower hose was leaking as well, which suggests the room wasn’t properly inspected. There was also a small stain on the bedsheets.
From a convenience standpoint, not having a microwave in the room is inconvenient, as guests must go downstairs to heat food. The ice machines produce large ice blocks, which leads to noise at night from guests breaking them. The mini fridge had an odor, and the bathroom sink was not fully clean upon arrival.
Parking is shared with a shopping center, fills up quickly, and the $20 nightly fee feels excessive.
Overall, while the hotel has a modern feel and strong location, improvements in maintenance, cleanliness checks, and basic amenities would significantly enhance the guest experience.
I arrived at this hotel after a long flight, only to be told that the room I had booked in advance was no longer available. This was extremely frustrating, especially given that I had a confirmed reservation. Unfortunately, no alternative solutions or accommodations were offered, which made the experience even more disappointing.
I am an IHG Platinum Elite member, and this was my first time trying the EVEN Hotels brand. The concept is clearly centered around fitness. The room is quite spacious and even comes with a yoga mat. The hotel lobby also provides free hot water, which is a nice touch.
However, the staff training seems insufficient. I booked my stay using points, and during check in, a staff member told me I needed to pay taxes and fees, around 200 dollars for four nights. That immediately did not seem right to me, since I have stayed many times using IHG points and typically only pay for things like parking, not taxes. I asked her to check with a manager, and the manager later confirmed that since it was a points redemption and not a prepaid third party booking, no taxes were required.
Another issue is the parking fee. Having lived in Montgomery County for over ten years, I do not think charging 20 dollars per night for parking in Rockville is reasonable. It feels overpriced.
