  We stayed here as a party of 7 and found bedbugs in our room. We brought one down to the front desk in a cup, and they still told us there was nothing they could do until the morning. They offered to move us to another room, which we refused because the hotel was clearly infested. When we asked for a refund, we were denied and instead told we could SLEEP IN THE LOBBY if we didn’t want to stay in the room. Staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like we were lying despite proof. Completely unacceptable experience. Do not recommend.

  0/10 – Absolutely Disgusting & Unacceptable This was hands down one of the most disgusting hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Around 10 PM, while we were sitting on the bed, I watched a bed bug literally climbing on the bed. Not imagining it. Not a maybe. A BED BUG. After that horrifying discovery, we checked further and found at least five more bed bugs in the same bed. Safe to say, we were completely grossed out and panicking. We immediately went to the front desk, expecting this to be treated like the serious health issue it is. Instead, the staff did absolutely nothing helpful. The only solution offered? A different room. As if moving rooms in a hotel that clearly has a bed bug infestation is somehow acceptable or safe. The front desk attendant claimed he “called the manager” and then told us nothing could be done until tomorrow morning, which is completely insane given the circumstances. Bed bugs are not a “wait until morning” issue. No apology. No urgency. No accountability. We ended up leaving the hotel entirely at 10 PM, scrambling to find another place to stay, which thankfully was clean and handled things professionally—unlike this place. This hotel is filthy, poorly managed, and clearly does not care about guest safety or sanitation. If you value your health, comfort, or peace of mind, do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.

  Updated & clean lobby & room, which was quite spacious & handy kitchenette. No lock on the bathroom door, don't think it's by design either! Had hard time keeping shower glass door closed too! Free breakfast buffet was ok, does the job. Gas fireplace in the front with comfy seating was very nice, but maybe have staff smoke elsewhere? Would go back!

  I would like to say that I have stayed at many hotels & the home 2 here in ocean city Maryland is the best I've stayed in by far. The employees, management have been outstanding. They always ask if I needed anything during my stay, if I needed something, they took care of it in a professional manner & I didn't have to wait for it to be taken care of. I also see how the employees treat each other and it's like one big family. I noticed how they help each other , the place is very clean & it makes a comfortable stay each & every day. and a big thumbs up for the morning breakfast, it's a very nice set up & the kitchen staff does a great job making sure everything is fresh & available for the customers. I highly recommend the home 2 to anyone visiting ocean city Maryland. If I was able to give more than 5 stars. I would double it in a heartbeat. Thank you for having such a great place ..
