- CSCristian Sanchez3 days ago4.0Was just making a quick trip to Cumberland to spend the day out that way, got there around 10 PM and had to wait 10-15 minutes to get checked in, which after a long day I wasn't entirely happy with, especially when the concierge came walking in in PJ's. Thankfully our room was upgraded from a King Room to a Suite for no charge. The hotel was clean, sheets and bed were tidy and the room in general was well kept. A good, reasonably priced place to stay in the Alleghenies.

We contacted the front desk and they immediately changed our room and appologized (but it was a bummer as we had just put our baby down to sleep). The location is good and there is a great restaurant next door.

- RDRebecca DillSep 24, 20252.0I am sorta confused how this location has such high reviews as I personally didn’t feel it hit the mark for me. The location was convenient and easy to jump on/off the interstate. The neighborhood felt relatively safe which is always a biggie for me. My disappointment came from the room itself. Had I not known it was a Holiday Inn I would’ve seriously thought it was a Quality Inn by the decor. Brown, on brown, on brown. The room was extremely dated and so much wear and tear. It’s in desperate need of an update. Front desk wasn’t very welcoming but it was late and I was tired so it really didn’t bother me very much. They gave me a room right at the elevator which was super disappointing. I think all hotels should avoid renting elevator and exit door rooms unless they are at capacity….which this one wasn’t I’m guessing by all the empty parking spaces. Anyway, my biggest reason for my low review is more of a safety concern. The lock to the door was broken and there’s a 1-1.5” opening at the bottom of the door. That’s just a dangerous combo. I put the ironing board and the desk chair in front of the door just to make myself feel a bit safer. You can see the gap at the bottom of the door and the lock in my attached pics. The real treat at this location was the breakfast bar. It was fantastic and the gentleman who was working that area was so friendly and warm. He just chatted my ear away and it was like having a conversation with family.
