- GBGreg BeckwithDec 29, 20251.0Requested a handicap room and got a standard room. I was so exhausted upon checking in that I didn't notice the difference. When I woke up and had difficulties with the room I called the front desk inquiring if the room was a handicap room and was told no and was hung up on. Their is one grab bar next to the shower which is so loose I am surprised it has not fallen off. Nothing is the bathtub for assistance . It will be a long time if ever before I stay again at a Holiday inn.

I ended up switching rooms because the first had stained sheets, some mold in the bathroom on the silicone/caulk, and the towels were dirty. There was also what looked like a dried up piece of a skittle on the couch. The room I moved to at least had clean sheets and clean towels, but the shower had more mold in it and looked more beat up with the sheetrock on the ceiling. It was just really disappointing.

My room had a lovely view of the water, but no microwave. There are no restaurants or stores nearby to walk to. If you miss the driveway where the sign is by the road, you end up back on the highway. The complimentary breakfast had the standard self-serve choices. Parking is free and easy in their own parking lot. The staff was friendly and professional. I really liked the Dove products available in the room. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and body lotion.
- KKKrisPNov 9, 20251.0Ok so I’ll start out that it was my fault. I made a reservation and booked for the wrong night. Clearly my fault and not the hotels. But when I showed up on the night I thought I had booked for (following a wedding and arriving pretty late) the hotel had a couple of rooms and tried to charge me $500 when I balked they said $400 and then finally $250. I passed and we drove all the way home to Virginia Beach. A tough drive getting home at 2 am but Holiday Inn won’t get more of my money. Sure felt like they were attempting to gouge me for my mistake - plus they got the money for the night I booked but didn’t use. No other comments but sure was a disappointment.
