Our room had all of the modern amenities without losing the historic charm. Walked to dinner in the tavern without having to go out in the cold. The staff so welcoming and courteous. We will be back!

The view from Room #1’s deck is great, I look forward to returning in the Summer. The Tavern has a great, cozy vibe with good drinks and bar food. We did not eat at the restaurant so no observations there, but will definitely return for warmer weather as the view of the Sassafras River is excellent.

Even though there was no staff on-site for check‑in, everything was handled smoothly in advance. The combination locks for both the inn and the room made arrival easy and stress‑free. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had a cute, rustic charm that fit the historic feel of the property. It was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway. The location was also a big plus — it’s very close to the Georgetown Yacht Marina, which was perfect for our plans and made getting around incredibly convenient. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay. I’d happily return.

The crab & mac-n-cheese had no crab in it at all. Either visibly or taste wise. There was an overpowering onion relish on top. The short rib mac was okay but lacked creaminess and depth of flavor.
