We have stayed at this magnificent location many times over the past quarter century. Our recent visit did not disappoint, in-fact we wish we had stayed longer! Our room was the best, and our seafood lunch in the Tavern was delicious. The staff are all professional and friendly and were so helpful during our visit. We recommend it as a relaxing and comfortable getaway-with-a-view!

Location is horrible. Traffic noise was so bad we didn't even stay the night. Luckily we live fairly close.
There is no way we could sleep with all that noise. There needs to be a disclaimer on the website. I can't rate the service because we did not interact with anyone during our short time there. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. Although no heat in the bathroom. Not sure if the old radiators are used when it gets really cold. The electric heat in the main room put off a slightly toxic smell. There were no easily accessible power outlets, except in the bathroom. Had to move the night stand and found an extension cord to plug in my phone. An easy fix would be to buy lamps with built in outlets or add a power strip. Several light bulbs were out in the bathroom. Also lights out in the hallway. The restaurant was also a disappointment. The rolls were really good but the butter so hard it never thawed out even after leaving it in the middle of a hot roll. The crab cake was mushy with very little jumbo lump crab meat. No old bay and had a remoulade mixed in. The menu did not specify it was mixed in. French fries were under cooked. Crab Bisque really good but there was hardly any crab meat in it. The bread pudding for dessert was very tasty but the bread was hard like it had been thawed out in a microwave. I did mention the issues with the entree to the waitress but all she said was sorry. Didn't offer to tell a manager.

We were there for a wedding, so we decided to stay the night. We came early and had lunch on the deck, beautiful! Service was great! We were able to check right into our room with just a keyless code. The wedding was wonderful, food was delicious!
Great weekend!!

We were in room 10. If you cannot sleep through highway noise, I would not recommend it. Also, be careful if the electric. We blew the fuse because we turned the microwave on while the air conditioner was running. They need to update the electrical systems. Other than that, the room was beautifully appointed. I believe the rate should be reduced unless they can do more to sound proof the rooms facing the street.

Our room (#7), was large with a large bathroom. The space had one small window air conditioner that was working overtime and the room was still roasting. The solution was to keep the bathroom door closed causing the bathroom to be even hotter. The Inn apologized but were unable to move us due to a wedding that night.
