  Although rooms are dated, they are clean and comfortable, staff is great.

  The rooms were clean. The bathroom was.. ehh. We only stopped for a quick sleep and wanted to get back on the road early. Breakfast was supposed to be at 6, so we stuck around. Apparently the girl who does breakfast wasn't there yet and breakfast was going to start later. Had the communication been accurate, we would have left at 5am and given a better review.

  Love this hidden gem. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Frederick Maryland.

  I stayed here when it was about 24 degrees outside, but the bed inside was made up as if it were July. No blankets or comforter anywhere. I realized how chilly it was in bed too late at night to do much about it. I had to crank up the heat to about 78 to stay warm, and that still wasn't quite enough. Also, the bathroom and sink lights stopped working, as if a breaker had been tripped. I had to shower and use the sink in the dark. The hotel was otherwise pretty clean, and the location was great near the freeway. I've stayed in far worse hotels, but this one could certainly use some improvements. Overall, not terrible for the price, though. Total was about $82 for the stay.

  It’s less than 10 minutes to downtown Frederick. It’s inexpensive. The fridge was a good size. Wifi was free. That’s about it for the positives. Thankfully, we had only a one night stay. I think the thing that bothered me the most was the “bathroom” consisting only of a toilet and a shower with a combined area of a small closet. The sink was in the main room next to the actual no-door coat closet. Also, the bathroom door in our room didn’t shut all the way. The beds were queen-sized, but too hard for me to sleep comfortably. The remote didn’t work properly. The heating unit was LOUD. And despite the fact that they had a DIY waffle-making station, the free breakfast was bland; the scrambled eggs were too hard. Finally, I think it would be advisable for BW’s regional heads to make a secret visit one day to see what some of the staff are doing in the 6am hour when breakfast is starting. I was going to take a picture, but decided against it, since I won’t be coming back to this Best Western again.
