If you’re looking for an inexpensive quick getaway, or even staying local I’d previously recommend best western plus, but now I’m alittle hesitant. I booked a one night stay as a mini relaxation for me, and my babies. The staff was very pleasant. The lobby area was clean. Parking is free. The security deposit has decreased from $150 to now $50. Breakfast available from 6am-10am. Pool open from 6am-10pm. This will work, and it was a spontaneous booking. We were looking for somewhere with an open indoor pool with occupancy, and shockingly there was one room left. I enjoyed our stay mostly, but the downside to the stay was we were booked for a non smoking floor, and I intentionally booked that way because of my children, but when we first got off the elevator to get to our room there was an aroma of smoke I.e marijuana (not really on the hotel, but the guests). There was also, an old/ musty aroma that hit you when you first entered the room. When we entered our room to our surprise we were greeted by two stink bugs. I immediately called the front desk, and a young man was so helpful in coming to the room to assist with the removal of them. He assured me that if we needed anything else let the front know. We thought everything was fine until we went to go to bed, and my daughter (11) jumps up afraid due to another stink bug that came out of nowhere , and was flying around the room. I immediately called the front desk. This time a young lady answered, and she asked me if I had just called about the same thing (she wasn’t rude at all so, I didn’t mind her asking) I made her aware that yes I was, and two had been removed, but now there’s another one flying around. The young woman on the phone spoke with her manager, and made me aware her manager would be coming up to assist. The call was around 9pm I stayed up until 2am waiting, so I’d be able to let the manager in, and no one ever came. I called the front desk again around 10pm, and the phone kept ringing. My daughter had to sleep with the covers over her head due to the stink bugs that would appear, and fly throughout the night. I was awakened early in the morning to another stink bug that was attempting to crawl on my 6 month old son as he slept. Needless to say our stay was ruined, and we did not get to enjoy what was supposed to be selfcare. I am highly disappointed seeing as I am a healthcare first responder who works tirelessly to save lives looking for a quick relaxation for my children while my husband is away working, and our trip was everything but relaxing. I appreciate the staff, and give grace knowing that we are all human, and some things are out of our control, and staff can be limited during these times. I hope this message finds management/ corporate, and a resolution can be rendered to avoid this occurrence with another family that stays. This is the first of this experience here, and we’ve been here before years prior when my daughter was younger and everything was fine.

I stayed at this hotel for about 5 days. Overall, it is an okay place if you don’t have other options, but there is definitely room for improvement. On the first night, my room was not 100% clean. There was visible dirt in the corners and next to the bed, and the couch had dirt on it as well. The window had some old dried bugs, and the carpet and side of the table had pinkish spots that looked quite unpleasant and could definitely be cleaned better. The fridge had hair inside, and the microwave had spots as well. I honestly questioned whether the room had been properly cleaned before I arrived. I informed the front desk and requested room service for the next morning. However, housekeeping arrived around noon, and I had a meeting, so I could not leave the room at that time. The following day, I checked again since they had not returned, and I was scheduled for 11am. However, they still did not arrive on time, even after I followed up again with the front desk. Eventually, two days later, my room was only half “cleaned.” It smelled fresh and the bathroom was cleaned, but the same dirt and spots in the corners were still there, including in the fridge and microwave. There was also still dust on the bedside lamps and cabinet. The gym could be much better. Only two machines were working, and for some reason, the treadmill language kept changing to Spanish, which made it difficult to use. I had to ask for help to switch it back to English. A gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to assist and also provided extra towels as I requested. However, from the time I arrived, there was no hand sanitiser available in the gym, even after I requested it, and there were no cups available for drinking water. The decorative water fountain on the wall next to the elevator also had visible green mould, which was very concerning. Customer service was inconsistent. One of the front desk ladies, a short woman( maybe in her 50s), had a lot of attitude when I politely requested room service. She was abrupt and came across as quite rude, which is not ideal for someone working at the front desk. One of the younger front desk ladies was helpful but very slow! Overall, I don’t see myself booking at this location again unless maybe improvements are made. The entrance area also smelled strongly of weed, which was unpleasant. On a positive note, the surrounding neighbourhood appeared clean.

We stayed here to take advantage of their shuttle to the Baltimore cruise terminal. Upon arrival, we were told that the shuttle that would have coinsided with our cruise terminal arrival time was not available. Given that we knew, at the time that we made the hotel reservation, that we had to commit to a cruise terminal arrival time, weeks before, and that we were coming from Connecticut, this seems like a very poor way to coordinate guests and the shuttle. After we had gone to sleep, the battery replacement alarm began to sound on the room's smoke alarm. The desk clerk told me that she had no way to replace the battery, but did give us a nearby room, in which we could sleep and leave our luggage in the first room. The next morning, I asked to speak to the Manager, and was told that he would be available, shortly. By the time that our shuttle was leaving, he still had not appeared. When we returned after our cruise, he wasn't available, then. The next day, I called from home to speak with Mr. Little, the General Manager, and was told, again, that he wasn't available. I left a message asking him to call me. That was more than 2 months ago. I'm still waiting.

This stay was the worst. Unclean Blood stained sheets and mattress also NO room service with clean towels or face clothes. I’m very disappointed and disgusted with this hotel and quite shocked that the front desk refused to give me clean towels. I will never stay at another Best Western. They are liars and have poor service.
