  Dear Management Team, I am writing to share my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional experience my family and I had during our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Edgewood-Aberdeen. We reserved six rooms and traveled with four children, so having a smooth, welcoming experience was incredibly important to us—and your team exceeded every expectation. From the moment we checked in to the time we departed, every staff member we encountered demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. The front desk staff made us feel immediately welcomed, and the support staff who maintained our rooms ensured everything was spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was truly impeccable, and it is clear that your team takes great pride in maintaining such high standards. We were especially impressed by the warm and attentive service from Marc, who consistently checked in with us, as well as the wonderful evening staff member and the three individuals who served food. Housekeeping also deserves special recognition for their outstanding work. While I regret not capturing everyone’s names, please know that every interaction we had reflected a culture of care, patience, and excellence. It was also wonderful to see the leadership supporting and guiding newer team members with patience and encouragement. That kind of environment speaks volumes and clearly contributes to the exceptional service we experienced. The amenities—including the pool—were fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything about our stay made us feel comfortable, valued, and at home. I would highly recommend this location over any others and would gladly return in the future.   Rooms were clean and staff was professional, but there were questionable issues...(I can't say anything about the view because my window was facing a hallway and I had to keep curtains closed or anyone walking by could see right into my room 😂 ) My biggest concern was the pool. I go on vacation with my kids a lot and never was there a "heated" pool so cold. I always call ahead to ask water temperatures in hotels before I book. Most hotels have water at 80°F to 85°F. This hotel guaranteed water would be at 81°. IT CERTAINLY WAS NOT! Any temperature variation from outside weather to pool room will fog windows. Outside was 65° when I stayed and pool room had clear windows! There was zero humidity?!?! I have swam in many pools and none have been this cold. I can handle it but my kids tried and they left. It ruined my whole stay because my vacations are to be with my kids and pool is most important part of the hotel aspect. Also even though hotel was empty, staff told me they could not give me an extra 30min to vacate room, said I had to leave before 11am or I would be charged fees. Also they would charge me if I lost or didn't return key cards. I checked several websites and there were plenty of rooms available. Since I don't know the staff's intent, I can only blame hotel policies. That will make me question ever staying at any HIE again. Bottom line, if pool is important to you? Stay away from this hotel from October to May, the pool has water temperatures in the 70s if that... If you just need a room for the night, the rooms are clean. I will avoid this hotel from now. Possibly avoid any hotel from this brand...

  Stayed here on business travel for my husband, after vacation travel elsewhere so we only had one vehicle. They were happy to give me a late checkout and then allow me to hang out in the lobby and work until he was done and could pick me up after checkout. Carl and Mark, the front desk staff, were both friendly and accommodating during our entire stay. At one point after we had gone to bed for the night, the smoke detector began beeping and Carl was in our room in what seemed like seconds to change out the battery and make sure we were good. We will definitely use this hotel again if we are back in the area.

  Breakfast was incredible. Rooms are extremely comfortable. Very quiet location. AC unit is very effective, but a little bit loud, but I like the white noise when I sleep. There is a tiny corner shop by the lobby with excellent snacks. Nightly cost is very reasonable. If I am ever in the area again I know exactly where I'm staying!
