I stayed at Holiday Inn Washington–College Park (I-95) with a group, and I was very disappointed. The room was old and dated, and there was a broken item in the bathroom. Despite this, they charged people in our group $20–$60 for “damage” but refused to provide any proof. After following up for about 2 weeks, the front desk staff told me to dispute the charge myself. The hotel is run-down, and the staff was unprofessional. I would not recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a terrible experience with house keeping and staff.. I accidentally wasted a little salsa and used a hotel towel to clean it up then noticed a $50 incidental fee on my credit card for damages when the towel can be simply washed. This hotel is petty and unprofessional. After asking to speak with management I was told that there is no manager on duty. I left my name and number but still have not heard from anyone. I would advise anybody that chooses this hotel not to spill anything!!!

First checked in after my flight around the late afternoon/early evening timeframe an went to the room. The first thing I noticed was the musty smell, so I turned on the automatic fan to get some air circulation inside then left the room to get some food from nearby restaurants thinking it would flush out the smell out. I return later and the smell was still there, then promptly grabbed my belongings and went to the front desk to get another room. The concierge understood my concern and placed me in another room across the hall, it smelled better in which I was able to now eat my food and alittle after I dosed off to take a nap. I then woke up to bed bugs everywhere(definitely was not there when I first entered) one bitting my arm, another on my wrist and back. Threw them off me an looked around they were on the pillows and wall. I thank God I didn't unpack my things yet an grabbed my bag, then took videos of the bugs on the bed and the walls and put in a plastic cup, then went down to the front desk to show them how infested it was in there. The concierge apologize and put me in a new room right next to the front desk and thankfully this room was clean. I still had to check my things to make sure none of them got inside or will be getting a free ride with me home(Hell No!!). I went immediately to the front desk to ask to speak to a Mgr and they replied they is no one on duty or coming in today, oh really. Not a single Mgr is here, and your just renting out bed bug infested room c'mon make it make sense. I switched rooms three times in one night and barely got any sleep at all even with a late checkout requested. Free Breakfast??? Seriously they was no breakfast available right now. It makes me furious because I am a UMD alumni 2012', so College Park is special to me but this by far is the worst experience I've ever had in my college hometown. I work for an airline as well and frequently stay all around the us and overseas but this is truly sad.
