If I could give this place a zero star rating, I would. I'm a Hilton rewards member and decided to book The Hilton all the way back in July as I was part of a wedding block. I received confirmation that I would pay when I arrive. Flash-forward to weekend I had a reservation in Maryland for Friday the 26th- Sunday the 28th. I had called the Wednesday and Thursday before leaving NYS, as I was nervous about traveling 6+ hours while disabled, to let the front desk know that I was traveling over 6 hours after work and I'd probably be there between 12am-3am. The front desk notated my account and said I was all good for Friday. I was, unfortunately, not good. Around 11:30, I checked in with the app and the app told me that when I showed up at the front desk, to show my ID and pay. I arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn at 12:30ish and went to check in. The man who checked me in looked me up before nastily telling me that he sold my room because my "card declined". I know that my card wasn't charged because when I HAD to pay the Homewood Suites, I got a fraud alert from my credit card. I let him know that my card wasn't charged and that protocol is to charge my credit card (put a hold on my card) when the guest arrives. I let him know that I called twice earlier in the week and booked my trip in July. He said "well, that was last week. Go see if they have something next door." Because at that point, the Hilton was sold out. I showed him my reservation though the app and that I had a room number that was being prepared where he reiterated that he sold the room for someone attending a wedding....I was part of that wedding block. Instead of demanding my room, I walked to the Homewood to see if they had any other rooms. They only had one room available, a king suite with a pullout couch. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to take that room, leaving my driver to sleep on the very crappy/dirty/dingy pull out couch for 2 nights. In the morning, I spoke to Mouna, the manager for both locations, for reimbursement since the front desk attendant messed everything up and she refused. I had to call the corporate office to have any kind of help from this as this is an independently owned business and they did NOT want to fix their mistake. If I ever go to Maryland again, I know to stay away from these specific Hilton hotels. BEWARE OF THESE GUYS!

This Homewood is in really great condition. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and everything in great condition. Plenty of parking around the building and convenient highway access. Breakfast not the best ever, but pretty decent for a Homewood. I would stay here again.

Upon arriving we checked in. We went to our room and as soon as we opened the door I knew. The room smelled musty and old. The couch, chair and ottoman in the living area we absolutely disgusting. There were stains all over the furniture. It looked like it was picked up out of the garage can and placed in the room. We proceeded into the next area with the two queen beds. The one bed had a very large yellow stain on it. The stain looked like it had happened while the bedding was on the bed as it went through to the underneath in the same pattern. The carpets were stained badly and extremely dirty. The ceiling fan was not up to code, it was falling off the ceiling and wobbling like crazy when it was on. The AC unit was all busted and broken up and also was extremely dirty looking. I have taken photos of all of this. I called down to the front desk because I was not about to get cozy and stay in that room. We were told she would look into another room and call me back. Meanwhile I went online and checked out the Garden Inn across the street. They had a queen room to accommodate us. When we got down to the front desk, I asked the lady if we could go to the hotel across the street and she told me they were sold out. She offered two king bed rooms but my family did not want to separate. I then called the garden inn and wow, they had rooms available. So not only was I lied to, she was pretty rude that we didn’t want to stay in that room. We offered to share pictures with her and email them to someone but she kept stating she was aware of the issues. Well ma'am if you’re aware of the issues then why in the world would you put a family in that room? I am extremely disappointed in a Hilton hotel and will never stay here along with letting everyone I know to never stay here. Hopefully you can fix the room up and replace some of the furniture that looks disgusting.

Their managements is horrible and rude, they don’t treat the staff with respect and appreciate for the hard work they do. Do better and find better managements that’s going to put their staff first!
