  I stayed here for one night while in Baltimore for an Orioles game, and overall it was a solid experience. The hotel itself was very clean, and the room was tidy and comfortable. The location is the main reason we stayed here, being about a 20 minute walk to Oriole Park. We also appreciated how quiet everything was inside the building and the surroundings outside especially being next to a casino. That said, the check-in experience could have been better. The host was friendly, but the process felt a bit disorganized. She took phone calls during our check-in, which interrupted things, and at one point charged my credit card a $100 security deposit without clearly explaining it beforehand. I completely understand and expect a deposit, but a quick heads-up before running the charge would have made the interaction feel more professional. Overall, it’s a clean, well-located hotel that served its purpose well.

  I visited Baltimore and stayed at this hotel! From the time I got there till the time I left the entire staff was AMAZING! Morning, evening and nighttime employees were all amazing! Every time I walked out the door they told me bye or see you later and every time I walked in they greeted me and asked me if I was alright! If I needed anything they always tried to accommodate! Any questions I had they answered! We shared stories with each other, we laughed and cracked jokes and they made me feel safe! The area is downtown so things can happen at night, but, the night shift always made sure that I got in safe! I loved how they actually CARED and came to the double doors to make sure that I was in there and good! My room was CLEAN! Actually, one of the cleanest that I have been to! The ladies who fix up the rooms were even fun and we laughed and enjoyed each other! I am very very pleased with the customer service at this location! It’s some of the best that I’ve had coming up north considering that Im from Texas and we whole heartedly believe in Hospitality! I want to say thank you to everyone and I do mean EVERYONE! I will be back soon and I hope the same people are still there! I think the ONLY THING this hotel is missing is a shuttle to and from the airport! Other than that, this was an amazing stay!   This property was well below the standard I expect from Holiday Inn Express. On the first day, the elevators were not working. The Wi-Fi never worked inside the room, the TV was glitching, the window shade was stuck and could not be opened, and the pool was under construction. More concerning was the handling of the elevator issue. Staff appeared to keep resetting the button instead of addressing the problem with urgency, and I overheard that the contractor had not been called because they did not want to "incur a fee". There seemed to be very little concern for guests who may have struggled with the stairs. Afterward, I was offered 3,000 points, which was not nearly enough to offset the inconvenience caused by the number of issues during my stay. The hotel was not horrible, but it was definitely not worth the price, and I would not stay here again

  My grandma was traveling from Virginia to New York and needed a place to rest for the night before continuing her trip the next day. I booked her a room at your hotel with my employee rate and called the hotel immediately after making the reservation. I told them my grandma would be the one checking in, to add her name to the reservation, and asked them to take my card off the reservation as she would be providing a card upon checkin that all charges and incidentals were to go to. They assured me these things were done. When my grandma went to check in, she called me and said they were not allowing her to check in without me being present. I learned that I used the wrong rate plan. Instead of using the IHG One Pass Friends Rate I used the regular IHG One Pass rate, which does require me to be present. I ended up booking her another room elsewhere because it was cheaper. I had my grandma verify that you guys would not charge me for the cancelation. They assured me I would not be charged. Later, I see a charge for $67.65 show up in my account. I called your hotel and they said the manager had already processed the refund, and that the charge had gone through automatically. The charge should not have gone through automatically, as they had verified earlier that day that they had taken my card off the reservation. I understand a card is required to hold the reservation, but I had called earlier, explained the situation, and was told it was taken care of. I work at a Holiday Inn Express in Upstate NY and this is not what I would expect from an IHG hotel. I spoke with two front desk agents throughout my experience and both were rude in their responses, and my grandma told me her conversation with the front desk was the same. The situation was not considered once. This is an elderly woman traveling alone with a child, worried about having a place to stay after a long drive. Even if the reservation had to be canceled, the least she should be able to expect is good customer service. The way this situation was handled was not up to IHG standard and I am very disappointed.
