they don’t actually have a parking garage. After midnight there’s no parking available. How do you have valet but not have after hours parking. Have fun parking next to all the dirty clubs, had to walk past a guy peeing on the hotel after paying an extra $38 to park blocks away.

ZERO STARS!! I am submitting this complaint to formally document an egregious failure in guest service that occurred during my stay and to request immediate corporate review.
An older valet attendant named Earl engaged in a hostile and inappropriate argument with my husband regarding basic valet service. His tone was rude from the outset and escalated unnecessarily. When we politely requested that our vehicle be brought to the front so we could retrieve items, he flatly refused and instructed us to walk to the vehicle ourselves—an unacceptable response for paid valet service.
I then explicitly demanded that my vehicle be brought forward. Instead of complying, Earl stated that he would enter our vehicle himself to retrieve the items. We clearly and firmly declined. His behavior continued to be dismissive, argumentative, and unprofessional.
Due to his conduct, I no longer felt comfortable allowing him to handle my vehicle and was forced to park my car in another parking lot to avoid further interaction. We wanted to leave the hotel entirely, but because it was late at night, we were effectively trapped.
As an HR Director, I find this conduct indefensible. Refusal to perform assigned duties, arguing with guests, and disregarding guest consent would constitute immediate termination in any organization I oversee. This behavior represents a serious liability and a complete breakdown in customer service standards.
This incident significantly diminished our stay. I am requesting:
• A full or partial refund
• Formal acknowledgment of this complaint
• Confirmation of corrective action taken with the valet provider
I will never stay at this property again, and I strongly urge IHG to address this matter promptly to prevent recurrence.
Staybridge is this how you treat your guest??

UPDATE: I discovered a bad scratch down to the metal on my car after arriving home; I don't park next to other cars there and the last place my car was parked was by the valet at this hotel. Knocked off a couple stars for service because that's absolutely unacceptable. So be very wary of their valet, they may be crowding cars or just generally careless with others' property. There wasn't an option to self park when I stayed here and this will keep me from returning or trusting them with anything I own.
I didn't have high expectations for a one-night stay at an extended stay hotel, but my experience at this one was exemplary. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and generously-sized, and had an unexpected view of the harbor. Even on new year's eve, it was quiet and I felt safe and had lots of privacy. I will absolutely consider this hotel again on my next visit to Baltimore.

We had an excellent experience! We only stayed one night, but the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way apart from a very, very uncomfortable sofa bed mattress. But, the main rooms bed was super comfy and the rooms were very clean and well stocked. We also had really friendly and helpful encounters with all staff. The location is great and within walking distance to the harbor. We had a toddler with us, so did take caution and avoided walking around after dark, as we would in any city’s downtown area, and I think this does apply to this hotel. But, during the day, the location can’t be beat. The valet parking was a very good deal compared to the surrounding parking garage rates, too. We would definitely stay here again!

The Staybridge Suites in Baltimore is in a great location with plenty of restaurants nearby. The room itself was very nice—comfortable bed, good pillows, and a clean, well-designed bathroom. The only issue on the room side was that the water pressure in the morning was extremely weak.
Breakfast was definitely a highlight. It was very good and had a nice variety.
Now for the negatives. The valet parking situation is unacceptable. Valet is $34 a night, which is already high, but the real problem is that if you go in and out more than three times, they charge you an additional $34. I’ve never heard of a policy like that before, and it feels unreasonable.
On top of that, as a Platinum Elite IHG member, the disrespect I experienced from one of the valet attendants is completely unacceptable. His attitude toward Black guests, including myself, was noticeably different from how he treated white guests, and that kind of behavior has no place in hospitality.
Because of the valet issues and the discriminatory attitude, I have to give this place a low rating despite the otherwise positive aspects.
