I’m incredibly disappointed to be writing this review. I’ve been a diamond member with Hilton for a little over a year now and I travel weekly staying in different Hilton hotels. This is the first time that I have found a Hilton hotel where my room and the staff completely missed the mark. Upon arrival I was greeted with a very dismissive attitude by the front desk staff. When I checked into my room, I noticed it was incredibly dated and covered in stains. I didn’t let this bother me because I knew it was an older hotel. However, on day two of my stay, I woke up to bugs crawling on my bathroom floor. I immediately went down to the front desk and asked to change rooms and they acted like this was not a surprise or the first time that they had heard of bugs being in one of their hotel rooms. I was able to switch to the Hilton Garden inn side, which seems to be a little nicer. Overall, I would not recommend the Homewood suites Baltimore unless you want a dated room with bugs.

Got there early. Front desk attendant informed us that our room was not ready. I asked if another room was available. She responded that our room that we had chosen on the app had a beautiful view. If we would be willing to wait 30 minutes. It was definitely worth it!!! Also the bell hop SUPER INFORMATIVE!! We will be back!!!

If Conrad Hilton were alive today, he would pull the Hilton name off of this property within minutes of his arrival. What a shame, too, as the location is fantastic. However, whomever owns the rights to this franchise is doing the Hilton brand a great dishonor; I suggest Corporate plan an onsite visit. Peeling wallpaper, warped laminate flooring, stained couch, broken desk chair, worn linens. Even had to bring the remote down to the front desk to have the batteries replaced in order to use the television in the living room. Unacceptable. Missing ceiling tile in closet. I trust that was a screw and not a secret camera! Even the grab bars on the revolving door were having issues: None upon arrival, three at the most affixed during my stay, often times one, perhaps two were properly mounted. The included breakfast is good, but even the furniture there is worn out, chipped, etc. The certificate in the elevator was expired! On the plus side, the location can't be beat, across from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and The Four Seasons Hotel. Self-parking (reasonable fee) was well lit with direct elevator access to the hotel. And all the employees were wonderful. Just such a shame they are being let down by the property itself. I am a big fan of Homewood Suites (Hilton Honors Gold). However, unless and until this property gets a full refurbishment, I will be giving it a hard pass next time I'm in Baltimore. I truly hope Corporate monitors these reviews. This property could be a jewel with the right care.
