    Although the hotel is located in a nice area for restaurants and shopping, the service and rooms were just ok. There are no refrigerators in the room which was a surprise for the price, so don't bring any food that needs to be stored. Trash cans around the property were full, ceilings were missing tiles, floors needed attention and the trashcans on the inside needed service also. Be mindful that pets are allowed on the property and that there are groups that stay here. Overall the stay was just ok for me, the biggest disappointment was the price for the room w/o a refrigerator, the size of the room, and no notice that parts of the hotel were being worked on, like the ceiling in the hallway in front of my room.

    I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in White Marsh, MD from Wednesday through Sunday. Unfortunately, my room was only serviced once during the entire stay. We had to bring our dirty towels to the front desk to exchange them for clean ones. We were told that rooms are serviced every other day, but that information was not shared at booking. The towels and washcloths provided were only enough for one night, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. Because of this, I’m giving the hotel a poor rating for housekeeping and communication. However, I want to highlight the outstanding front desk team — Maryann, Joel, and Keith — who were absolutely wonderful. They were kind, professional, and extremely helpful. Their excellent service really stood out and made a difference in our experience.

    I have never stayed somewhere so disgusting in my life. The room had a rag cover in dirt in the middle of the bathroom when we checked in. The room stunk like mold and marijuana. The guy at the front desk wouldn’t even make eye contact with us - when we asked for a refund he didn’t bat an eye. Didn’t ask how to make it better, just gave us our money back. Hilton should be embarrassed to have this location under their umbrella.

    My family had an odd and disappointing experience with this hotel. I arrived at 2:50 and attempted to check in. I was told, “do you have a double room? Ok, my manager is upstairs right now making sure rooms are clean. Come back in 15 minutes.” Okay, sure, no worries. A little after 3:00 I go back up and the same man says “that guy right there is going up to spray air freshener, and then you’ll be good.” That was immediately a red flag, but I checked in anyway, and gave the guy two minutes as requested. Immediately upon entering our room we were hit with the stench of cigarette smoke. Not only did it smell foul, but I have asthma. We went back down and told the new person, who I believe was the manager, about the cigarette smoke. He said “okay.” We asked if we could have another room, to which he said there weren’t any clean right now. We said, how long if we wait. He simply said, “a while. You’re going to be waiting a while.” No time frame, no “sorry your room smells terrible and we tried to cover it up.” I will say the only good thing is that he checked us back out and immediately issued my refund. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone, which is disappointing because I’ve never had this experience at a Hampton before. A little customer service would have gone a long way in this situation. Not to mention, I wasted my points (for a partial discount) for nothing and won’t be getting those back.
